It’s a hidden gem at Nynack NY. I will never guess how nice the paintings and arts displayed inside. The owner said all the hand-painted porcelain plates on the wall are inherited from his parents. Very cool.

We had dumplings, tom yum soup, duck and pad woon sen. Tom yum soup is very lemony and strong spicy flavor, not my thing. Duck is very good. Crispy skin and tender meat inside. The sauce brought it to another level.

Quick service. Quiet inside. Few tables. More like a house setting to me. Lovely place to have Thai food.

We stumbled upon this charming eatery in downtown Nyack and were immediately intrigued by its train car-like architecture and speakeasy vibes. The interior is adorned with Thai paintings and quaint artwork, adding to its unique character. The owners, Mike and Nita, greeted us warmly and gave excellent recommendations.

Highly recommend the crab fried rice — flavorful without being overly seasoned, with that irresistible wok-fired taste and a generous portion of crab meat. (The photo doesn’t do it justice because we dug in before I could snap a good one!) The green curry was light, fragrant, and had just the right amount of kick.

Overall, a relaxed and delicious dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Edited: we returned and order the drunken noodles and shrimp with glass noodles. both were delicious and flavorful.

BANGKOK STATION NYACK IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE — BANGKOK STATION NYACK HAS ZERO RESPECT FOR ITS CUSTOMERS

I went to eat dinner at Bangkok Station Nyack. I made the drive. I supported the business. I even had a relationship with the owner and spoke with him regularly when I dined there.

That relationship ends here.

Let’s be perfectly clear about one fundamental, non-negotiable fact:
If a restaurant advertises that it is open, it has a responsibility to BE OPEN AND SERVING during those hours. Anything else is dishonest and unacceptable.

I drove a distance specifically to dine at Bangkok Station Nyack, relying on the published business hours online, only to arrive and be told that the kitchen was already closed because it was a “slow night.”

That excuse is insulting.

Customers do not plan their time, travel, and money around whether a restaurant feels like staying open. Customers plan around the hours YOU advertise. Closing early because business is slow is not a justification — it is a failure.

And what made this situation completely indefensible was the response.

THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM BELOW WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE RESTAURANT.

There was:
• No apology
• No acknowledgment that I made the drive
• No concern
• No attempt to accommodate
• No effort to make it right
• Not even a basic statement like “please come back and we’ll take care of you”

Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

There was not an emergency. This was not unavoidable. This was a deliberate decision by the owner to shut down early while still publicly claiming the restaurant was open.

That decision wasted my time and showed complete contempt for his customers.

A restaurant does not get to decide that customers no longer matter just because it’s inconvenient to stay open.

If you say you’re open, you stay open. If you don’t, then you apologize and take responsibility.

Bangkok Station Nyack did neither.

This is not just poor service — it is unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest. What was once a restaurant I enjoyed has become a business I will not recommend to anyone.

If you are considering making the trip, understand this clearly:
Their posted hours are meaningless, and your time means nothing to them.

I will never be returning.

Another restaurant owner who has forgotten the most basic truth of the service industry: customers are not an inconvenience — they are the entire reason you exist.

I had a pretty good experience at Bangkok station in Nyack restaurant, although the service could definitely use some improvement. There was a bit of a wait to get a table, and I had to wait a little longer for a menu (eventually, I got up to grab one myself). I ordered a drink, but it took about 20 minutes to arrive, and I had to remind the server about it.

Everything we tried was pretty good! The chicken wings were crunchy and flavorful, but the smell was pretty off-putting – it had a strange, unpleasant odor that reminded me of a fart. I ended up covering them with a napkin to mask the smell, but once I tried them, they were surprisingly tasty.

The calamari was crispy, though it lacked flavor on its own. The dipping sauce really helped bring out the taste, though, so it worked out. The chicken curry puffs were definitely a highlight – the pastry was crispy and the filling was absolutely delicious.

The vibe and atmosphere were great, though, and I really enjoyed the overall setting. Despite the service issues, I’d still recommend this place for the flavorful dishes and the nice ambiance.

We have been coming here for over 40 years. The ownership changed several times but there is sentimental value as we used to come here as family with my late wife. Curry was good and fried fish, phase Thai were also good.

The server was nice. The food was perfect! 100% Thai authentic flavor. The vibe, the light and decoration is the best. Definitely will come back here more often. They even use the qr code to scan and pay. Really convenient.

Mike and his partner whip up delicious, authentic Thai. The prad kapow with egg was outta this world. Also homemade lemon ginger tea.

The ambiance is great. Piper the dog provides emotional support and free snuggles. We could stay here all day.

We had a memorable dinner here. The food was great. The restaurant still bears the signage of the previous Thai restaurant so it was slightly confusing, but the unique building is unmistakable. The chef is a young American but the food tasted authentic and delicious. Our party of five was big enough to try a selection of dishes including the fried fish, the crab fried rice and the crispy duck green curry.
