This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Both visits have been fantastic. Delicious, quality food. Big portions. Super friendly staff. The Molcajete Mamalon is fantastic. You can’t go wrong with anything here. I’ll definitely be back to keep trying more and more.

So I went to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday. Upon entering, the vibes were high! Music was loud, the DJ was keeping the crowd engaged, the drinks were flowing! I went with two friends and we all ordered the $20 margaritas. The server told me that size was a medium so we said okay! After a while, our server brought the drinks out in styrofoam cups….immediately we ask why they were brought out like that. My server says “after 10 pm, we don’t bring out any drinks, beers, or shots in glasses. It can be used as a weapon.” So we’re sitting there confused but I take a sip. Mind you, we have a clear view of the bar and I see the bartender make multiple drinks and pour them into glasses! After seeing this, I approach the bar and ask if the rule was true and the bartender proceeds to say “umm who is your server?” And tries to go get her. I see another worker at the bar and ask her the same question and she basically says “yes it’s true but who is your server?”, trying to brush me off. After the bartender comes back, I ask for a manager. The manager comes over and I explain the situation and he proceeds to say “that’s just the rules!” and when I tell him “we are standing right here at the bar and she’s making drinks in glasses…what’s the excuse now?” He yells “LET ME JUST MAKE IT RIGHT!” And walks off. He ends up bringing empty glasses to the table. He brought the wrong size and I said “we had medium margaritas!” He says “that’s not a medium! That’s a large!” with an attitude. I said “that’s what our server told us but okay!” He returns with the right size but I don’t appreciate essentially being lied to if the situation could be “fixed” that easily! No one else in the restaurant had styrofoam cups….Im not trying to make this a race thing but I can’t help but to feel that way when I was met with “this could be used as a weapon” and we are a table of 3 black women! ANYONE could have grabbed any glass off another table and used it as a weapon! That was not right AT ALL and I will not be back!!!

Not a good experience. The best thing about the place was the building. It was nicely decorated and well lit. The service was terrible. The food was not good. They messed up 3/7 orders. I ordered the Gringa Mamalona Quesadilla. It’s a $19 item. No sides. Just the quesadilla, check out the picture. On top of that they added a 20% gratuity. It was not deserved. We had high hopes but unfortunately we won’t be back.

I was there for their ribbon cut oppening, live mariachi was playing, great variety of drinks and a really large menu. The atmosphere was good, restaurant clean.
Maybe the same type of menu you find in another Mexican restaurant, but their flavor is good and their entertainment concept is what set them apart.
I’ll definitely return to try other dishes!

My wife and I went here last night for the first time. We immediately loved the interior. We sat at the spacious bar. The atmosphere started off nice we were enjoying conversations with other patrons while having drinks. Later around 8:30 we decided to order food to go. While we were waiting all the sudden the DJ starts mic checking and then started playing music and videos so loud that nobody could carry on a conversation. I guess what I’m getting at is if you want to go and enjoy the company you’re with and the food get there and get out before they start playing music. I don’t know anyone that wants to go eat and not be able to hear the people they’re with. Don’t get me wrong the food was really amazing but I’m glad I took it home to eat. For this reason alone sadly that will probably be our last time we go in there. I really wouldn’t be surprised if they stay open more than a year unless they change things up.

After sitting for 15-20 minutes, no one came to our table to take our drink order or bring us chips. My friend had to go to the bar and tell them to send someone to our table. I took a sip of my margarita and it was tasteless. It was watered down and virtually had no tequila in it. I told my waitress and asked to see the manager. He finally arrived after we had finished eating. And, by the way, my taco salad was a greasy mess that ran all over my plate. Not appetizing. I told the manager about my drink and his response was that they hadn’t had any complaints today! He said he would have to go to the bar and taste it himself. He came back and said it was fine. All 3 adults at the table had tasted my drink and said it wasn’t fine. Another man came to our table with a shot for my drink and I told home no thanks that it wouldn’t help a watered down drink. I told the manager I wanted him to remove the cost of my drink ($18) from my bill but he refused. I informed him we would never come back to this restaurant and that they would be receiving a bad review. He said he didn’t care.

We came here for a girls night out and we had a pretty good time with my friends. Our server was very friendly and attentive, I don’t remember her name but she is great. Our drinks were delicious and the sizes are great!
I got the “Cazuelita” drink and I love it, it is my favorite and I am glad they serve those as well as the Palomas We also asked for a fresh guacamole and it came with chicharron and it was delicious. The restaurant itself is elegant and mamalon! It is a must visit for a night out ✨

Had a great meal. Had fajitas- steak, chicken and shrimp – shrimp was cooked perfectly – so good. Service was excellent. They also had a live band. Atmosphere was great. Unique place…… will definitely come back.
