You HAVE to try the wontons; hands down the best I’ve had in any Asian restaurant. The crispy pork was a dream perfectly crunchy on the outside but so tender inside. My personal fav was the vermicelli cakes with fish cakes; dipping them in the sauce is so refreshing!
Also, the seafood egg fried rice was incredibly fragrant. The beef Pho totally different from what I’ve had before. It has this unique, refreshing citrusy aroma maybe kaffir lime? that makes it stand out. So satisfying! Highly recommend. ✨
Haven’t visited for a while, however, they introduced more new authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
I am strongly recommending here to visit for local style or Asian.
You have to try their Vietnamese Dropped Coffee, so good.
I usually keep it for myself if I see a good place like this. But this Vietnamese Diner Restaurant need a shoutout for their Chảo bò né. Its succulent juicy flavourful beef pear with sunny side up egg, soft laughing cow cheese, and pork cake slide. The side dish is some fries and a fresh mini bánh mì to use with the meat sauce. And the MEAT SAUCE is heavenly!!!
It’s truly Vietnamese authentic. I can’t believe I finally found it after so many year far away from home. My someone keeping eating even when I said that I want to take a picture of the food, that show how good it is.
Vietnamese Diner is one of those underrated gems in Saskatoon. The menu has a great mix of Vietnamese and Chinese comfort dishes, and everything I’ve tried so far has been full of flavor. The pan fried rice noodles with beef was especially good—crunchy, savory, and super satisfying.
The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff are always friendly. I also love the little café (Story Coffee) tucked inside—perfect for grabbing a bubble tea after your meal.
It’s casual, welcoming, and consistently good. Definitely a go-to spot for comforting food and relaxing vibes!
My top two favorite dishes are the Pork Platter and the Seafood Fried Noodles. The Pork Platter is a perfect combination. Every bite is comforting and packed with traditional flavors.
The Seafood Fried Noodles are just as impressive — a generous serving of crispy stir-fried noodles loaded with shrimp, squid, and vegetables, all tossed in a savory, well-balanced sauce.
The food is always fresh, the seasoning is spot-on, and the portion sizes are satisfying.
The restaurant itself is cozy and clean, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
Whether you’re dining in or taking out, Vietnamese Diner consistently delivers high-quality meals.
Highly recommended for anyone craving real Vietnamese flavors in Saskatoon!
