My favorite sushi restaurant/counter in Frederick. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi (of varying quality), from grocery store takeaway to fine dining spots up and down both coasts; I can confirm that this place is the real deal. They carry some truly great quality product and they know how to serve it the right way. The food is delicious and prepared + plated with care. Staff is friendly and attentive (including the robot). Great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. Remember to splurge for some toro sashimi – it’s always worth it.

Food is good (we tried Korean side of the menu and few sushi rolls) but service is VERY POOR. Do NOT bring hungry kids in there, you will regret big time It takes forever to get your meal. Even ice cream took 20 minutes to be served. The only reason this place is still operational is because of location. Owner clearly does not try to do better. Its our 2nd time and we will not come back.

Nice place. Clean bathrooms. Seated quickly, but it took a few minutes to get menus and drink orders. After that service was timely and accurate, and the food was good. We mostly got sushi and it was pretty good, but this may have had more to do with the seasonal nature of the cuisine than the kitchen.

First of all, a robot brought us our food, which was awesome! The atmosphere is very nice, almost upscale. Our food looked beautiful, and tasted great. The only real issue we had was that the service was a little slow. There were only two tables in the restaurant, yet we sat for a while after we finished eating waiting to be checked on.

Ordered spicy shrimp appi and two sushi rolls. Shrimp was just three pieces and a mound id sliced veggies in a sweet sauce. Sushi Rolls were nondescript something with rice and soy sauce was extremely salty. No explanation of either roll and no service plates provided or offered to eat from. For my money Lazyfish is far superior for Sushi.

This place is fantastic! It’s a bit more upscale but is worth it! The food is great! Some of the best sushi I’ve had recently! The gyoza was also very delicious! They use a little robot to deliver your drinks which I thought was super cute. The service was quick and she was very patient with our questions. I will definitely go back to try more of the menu!

Food – excellent. If you like Japanese or Korean cuisine, check this place out. The rolls were amazing, beef was good, can’t go wrong with a bowl of noodles.
Cleanliness- great. New restaurant so I expect this but everything was clean
Service – Slower than expected. Expect to be here for 90 mins during busy hours. However, I expected this as it is a new restaurant and they need to find their rhythm.
Alcohol – they are waiting on their liquor license (I believe our server said that the restaurant should be able to serve alcohol at the end of February)
Everyone was polite and prompt (as they could be).
I will be going back probably mid summer

For Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. the restaurant was not at all busy.
Appetizer was their shrimp Tempura. It took a while and when it finally came the shrimp was cold. The sweet potato was warm. Should’ve sent it back, but do not want to embarrass my fellow diners.
Main course was Rogers on fire, which is lit table-side . It would not light. Server went back to the kitchen lit it practically burning Herself getting it back to the table. Shrimp Bento box, again shrimp was cold. The chicken teriyaki came on a hot plate and was good.
On a positive note, the service staff We’re very pleasant and did not rush us so we could enjoy our time together.
I had bragged on the restaurant to my fellow diners and was disappointed that it was not up to par for my previous visit over the years.

i love this place….shhhhh… keep it our little secret. Just phenomenal. The most beautiful meal I have ever eaten and would have eaten everything again after a nap because I was in a food coma as soon as I got home. Superb! Stunning! Truly recommend. And we got to see a little family meal action going with the staff and the owners. What a novel concept? Treat your staff like family and then in turn your staff treats customers the same way.

The sushi here tastes amazing and their spicy edamame is to die for, but it really seems like they’re understaffed because we waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was not even busy.
We were offered ice cream as an apology for poor service and we initially accepted, but ended up declining it when they told us it would be another 10 minutes, but it ended up being another 20 minutes. We cancelled the remaining sushi that still hadn’t arrived after waiting an additional 5 mins including the previous 20 minute and requested a discount, which they agreed to.
