Cream Pan’s Strawberry Croissant is nostalgia in pastry form ..think a gourmet Pop-Tart or an elevated Pillsbury strudel. Each bite is light, flaky, and filled with velvety cream. Only wish? A few more strawberries to complete perfection.
Food: 4/5 – A dream selection of pastries, breads, sandwiches, rice dishes, donuts, and desserts. Everything looks (and tastes) freshly made with care.
Service: 4/5 – Fast, friendly, and efficient, even during the morning rush.
Ambience: 4/5 – Spacious interior with plenty of seating, perfect for a chill breakfast stop or casual meet-up.
Parking: 3/5 – The lot fills up fast, so street parking is your best bet during peak hours.
Props to founder Yoshinori Inada, who opened Cream Pan back in 2002 and continues to bake his way into SoCal food history. The accolades say it all:

Loved the matcha cookie; was thick and more crispy. strawberry matcha latte was on point with a nice strawberry puree incorporated into the latte. Cream puffs are just great. Custard filling . Solid place for your sweet but not too sweet tooth.

Usually get the banana strawberry croissant, apple croissant, pudding, cream puff and the meat bun. All good. Tried the chicken katsu curry. Don’t wait long. Katsu was well fried. Curry itself was slightly spicy and tasted fine

I give Cream Pan 2.5/5 stars.
Reddit brought me here. Unfortunately, I left disappointed.
I fist tried the strawberry croissant, the most popular item. Yeah, I don’t understand the hype. While the cream filling was good, the croissant was on the small side; with only 2 thin slices of strawberry, there’s not much strawberry about this.
The next item I tried was the curry pan. The flavor was good, but it was cold. Do they have an option to warm up upon request?
The star of the show was the crispy cheese bread. This, crispy, and delicious.
I skipped going to Corridor Flow for some good coffee to grab coffee here. Huge mistake.
I purchased a few more items, but I’m in no rush to eat them.
There are plenty of tables, and I feel that the space is more seating than food options. It didn’t feel like a cozy, inviting atmosphere usually experienced in bakeries.
Parking lot is small, and a nightmare. Best to find street parking.
Will I come back? No.
There are better bakery options in the South Bay. And for the price, Cream Pan is an overrated expensive experience.

I visited this place for the first time. This Bakery came highly recommended by my husband coworkers. We try the strawberry croissants they were delicious. We went in on a Sunday morning wasn’t as busy. Their pastries are not too sweet. We order a piece of cake and you can really taste the chocolate. The cakes are a little bit pricey but I think they’re really worth the price because they’re not too sweet.

Cream Pan in Lomita is a total win for anyone obsessed with their famous strawberry cream croissants! We used to trek all the way to Tustin for these flaky, creamy delights, but finding this spot near our daughter’s place was a game-changer. The Lomita location is bigger, brighter, and the staff are super friendly. They’ve got a wider variety than Tustin, with not just their killer croissants but also sushi, breads, and cakes. We grabbed a dozen strawberry cream croissants (still as heavenly as ever) and some spam sushi, which was a fun surprise. Big parking lot, no long wait—easy in, easy out. If you’re in Lomita and craving something sweet or savory, Cream Pan’s got you covered!

Love this spot! So far I’ve tried the pork bun, olive bread, mini strawberry croissant and azuki cream bun and cheesecake. Haven’t been disappointed with anything. I really love their unsweetened peach iced tea also. The place is very spacious with lots of seating.

We ordered the Macha latte, coffee with condensed milk, breads, and juice. I love how creamy and tasty the Macha green tea is. I love that they don’t put too many ice cubes in there so your last sip still tastes good even if you are a slow drinker. My husband said coffee was also very good too. But the bread we had the same option that is very dry and hard. Probably it’s not that fresh. It tastes old. Everything is also very pricey compared to the quality. Even though I love their atmosphere and their drinks, I would not go back there.

New Japanese bakery that opened up in the Lomita/Torrance area that is super popular right now. Tried it out mid day on a weekday in the rain so luckily there was parking in the lot and no line. Known for their Strawberry Cream Croissants, other pasteries like their ham and cheese roll and blueberry muffins are pretty good as well. Decent prices, fast service. Perfect to grab and go. 5 stars
