The place is big inside with plenty of seating. The hostess was fast and friendly when seating. The server was quick to get to the table with complimentary sample of the mas rice one sample bowl per person, The rice was very tasty. The food was amazing. ( shrimp tacos and fried shrimp plate, and oysters) I will definitely be back with the family. Service was great couldn’t get any better. The atmosphere was very festive made me wanna eat and have some adult beverages. They also had a bar with seating at the bar, margarita machines, and 4 major beers on tap, I Cannot wait to come back!
Update: returned after 2 months and service was so great, server was so polite and understanding with our big family. We definitely enjoyed the super clean and comfortable atmosphere. Even had a visit to the table from what I think was a manager just Checking the service we were receiving and making sure we didn’t have any issues. Everything was awesome again, keep up the great work.

Had a delicious dinner. I liked that the Manager named Tania came to greet us and was very attentive and pleasant. Food was served quickly and it was hot and fresh. I’ll definitely be back. Great service by server Christina. Always so friendly!

The food and the service here were amazing. We were searching for a place we hadn’t eaten before and saw this while driving by. Initially I was skeptical because I hadn’t heard of it but was pleasantly surprised at both the professionalism of the wait staff and how great the food tasted.
The restaurant is laid out very open and you are attended to quickly. The batter was cooked great and I loved the sauce. The grilled shrimp or some of the best I’ve had in town. If you’re looking for something new and different stop by and check this out, you won’t regret it.

Spanish pop music over the speakers, delicious food and drinks in front of us, and our server (Michelle) was on it throughout the meal. My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch together and were definitely glad we chose Mambo to do it.
When it comes to seafood, we don’t eat it often, and we typically stick to the basics like white fish and shrimp. Today was no exception, but the grilled shrimp and fish tacos absolutely left us satisfied, particularly such incredible shrimp fried rice and batter-dipped french fries on the side. The atmosphere was lively but casual. The TVs were set up in all the right places to check out the sports / games but not necessarily become a focus or distraction to the meal unless you specifically chose your table to do so.
Finally, what could be a better way to close out a meal than the ability to order a gallon of ready-made margarita to go (for those of us who don’t do it ourselves, of course)!

Great food, my husband and I recently went to Lake Charles and went to our favorite spot there but, the crawfish was not as good as Mambo’s, the crawfish here is so far the best we’ve had. The oysters are also very good and always fresh. The service is also great, the servers and managers are genuinely very customer oriented. Must try!

I’ve been frequenting the Lackland location lately, trying different dishes out; the food, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness of the restaurant i.e. glassware, utensils, plates, etc. is superior. The food is fresh and flavorful, haven’t had anything I didn’t like. You should definitely check it out!

The second Mambo restaurant to open in San Antonio. Love this restaurant from Houston. Brand new building nice and clean. Had really great service. The first must try is the Mambo shrimp appetizer. 10 big jumbo shrimp in Mambo sauce so delicious. Save that Mambo sauce as it is a great sauce to eat with your fried fish. Just pour it on top of the fish with a spoon. You won’t regret it. It gives your fish the extra spice, so good. You will never want tarter sauce again after you try it. You can also order a side of Mambo sauce if you do not have enough sauce left over from the shrimp. Usually, get the 3 piece fried fish. Go to plate. The fried rice is also really good here. Give you a good portion to go with your food. Lots of variety here, on the menu. Mangolava is also really good. Can’t wait for the Brooks restaurant to open. Give it a try. Enjoy!

Service was not the greatest but at the end, John the Mgr took care of us and apologized in great detail. Server needs a bit work but john saved the day. Oysters here are really good and we’re displayed nicely .
