So hubby and I decided to visit No.1 Chinese Restaurant tonite since it’s under new management. We ordered the Mongolian Beef Combo (comes with egg roll, and veggie lo mein). I messed up our order and ordered the wrong soup (wanted wonton) side.
Now, keep in mind, they classify themselves as Chinese which they are but this is more Hunan/Xiang region Chinese. It’s spicy ️ but they are right on about following your lead on how spicy you want or not.
I’ve read that this is new ownership… there’s tables to eat in or a super convenient website to order take out. Service is friendly!
Great customer service and my husband was smiling and laughing talking to the frontman.
It’s good to see good food in this neighborhood but again keep in mind it’s different style than say, Peking in Ft. Pierce.
Here’s how we are rating…
Egg Drop Soup 3/5 but hubby and I suggest skipping it (has a strange yellow coloring that’s not conducive to egg yolk). It’s extra oily too.
Egg Roll 3/5 just because it has an after taste that may be msg? (Skipping next time. )
Lo Mein w/vegetables 4.0 (a bit oily)
Mangolian Beef 4.0 tasty actually the best thing in our order.
We had white rice at home so we opted for lo mein instead of rice.
We will go back to give them another opportunity…. we heard the chefs specials are the Bourbon Chicken and the General Tsao’s to name a few.
I hope people don’t punish this new management for past mistakes from the previous owners. Another major bonus was their online ordering except they should text when order is confirmed and ready. Support local .

I really enjoyed the food. I was hesitated at first A lot of Port St. Lucie Chinese restaurants are not good but this is really good. I really enjoy the food quality meat. Good vegetables, hot fresh and I really enjoy my food. Definitely will be coming back. I was asking around if this food was good and everybody said it was. I ordered the pepper steak it was amazing. A 10 out of 10 I highly recommend but keeping your mind since my first time

Ordered Szechuan Chicken dinner that came with white rice and egg roll. The dinner was excellent. The vegetables were fresh and cut into large pieces and the chicken was great. The egg roll was great as well and was cooked in clean oil. You can tell when they are cooked in old oil. Definitely plan to order again.

The food here is by far the best Chinese food I’ve had. Unlike many other places, the chicken actually tastes fresh and authentic, and you can tell they put a lot of care and effort into preparing every dish. The flavor is consistently amazing, and it’s clear they work hard to deliver quality. I always make sure to leave a tip because they truly deserve the support. Highly recommend!

I got sesame chicken, egg rolls, pork fried rice and steamed white rice. Chicken was like rubber, egg rolls tasted like they were made a week ago in rancid oil. Pork rice was also tainted with a a rancid flavor. The steamed rice had a funny smell. My wife, son and I all had diarrhea and we only ate a few bites because it was inedible. We threw the whole $54 dinner away. I did give my dog a little of the steamed rice which she promptly threw up on my rug moments later. I know Chinese food is always hit and miss, but, this was the absolute worst I’ve had in my 65 yrs. Buyer beware. I’m wondering if the high reviews are all family or friends

The best Chinese we’ve had in the area! I’ve been looking for good Chinese food since we moved here from the DC area 2 years ago. The General Tso Chicken, Orange Chicken and Hunan chicken did not disappoint. We will definitely order again from here.

Roast pork egg fu young was excellent – so was bourbon chicken. Came with fried rice which was also very good. Egg roll was good, although I have had better. Regardless, I highly recommend.

Today my lunch was going to be vegetable chow mein but I didn’t get the crispy noodles so I had to toss it .I tried to call but mailbox is full so I changed my review. I will have to start checking my orders before I leave.

I’ve ordered twice since they’ve been under new ownership!! General tsos & sweet and sour chicken were amazing both times. Added Lomein this time and also really enjoyed it. The fried rice wasn’t my favorite but still tasty. My food is always hot & ready when I go and pick it up!
