I have dined at Savannah’s twice now. The first time was in 2018 and the food was good, the staff was a little rude. We arrived right at 5pm when they opened and did not have reservations. You would have thought the world was ending by the reaction of the woman acting as hostess. We were sat by the front window, it was drafty and cold. The chairs were wobbly, so much so that we actually swapped out our chairs with the empty table next to us. By the time we left only a few other tables had been sat on the first floor. So I’m unsure why we needed reservations. Fast forward to 2019, a full year later. This time I made reservations to avoid the reaction of last year. Again, the restaurant was empty when we arrived and by the time we left a few tables had been sat. The food this time was better than in 2018. The whiskey cherry chicken was excellent as was the lobster ravioli. The shrimp bisque was good the French onion soup better. The only negative was the waiter could have been better about keeping our water goblets filled as we only drank water and only took one of our dessert orders and walked away quickly without taking mine. So overall, the food is very good especially with the limited choices of upscale restaurants in the area, but the staff could use some improvement.

We were seated immediately. Nick was an excellent waiter, knowledgeable and with a great personality. The goal was to have an alternative to The Whitney in Detroit. The white plastic table cover (over white linen) was unfortunate, and the ambiance is less than perfect. Other guests’ topics of conversation (medical) didn’t help.
The cheese fritter appetizer was exceptional, the onion soup was small, needed more cheese. While the soup had distasteful bread dominating the cup, the actual bread rolls were stunning. Loved the whiskey cherry chicken, though it lacked whiskey flavor. The coffee dusted ribeye was perfectly seasoned, but significantly past medium rare, an experience duplicated by the table across from us.
This may be worth a second try.

For a first time dinner, did not disappoint. Had a wonderful filet dinner, definitely a revisit place. Cozy, home feel, with a fancy feel all the same. ❤

Great atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful service. Our waiter made sure our glasses were full and had the best recommendations. I ordered the salmon spinach salad with the chicken pot pie soup; delicious! We will definitely be back.

My husband and I dined for the first time on Valentine’s Day 2019 yesterday. 8pm reservations. Arrived a little early so we were offered to sit at the bar which had no available seating so we sat literally at the door. Every time it opened I had to put my hand up so I wouldn’t be smacked with it. ( Totally understandable with it being Valentine’s Day) So were seated, server was good, food good. I was stuffed and asked to box my leftovers. 4 out of 6 lobster ravioli were left. I paid the bill and waited for the box to be brought to my table. I reminded them and finally was given 2 ravioli. I believe my food got thrown away and they salvaged the two. I left the box on the table and left. I’d like to think it was a long busy day and not something that happens often
