We were recommended this place by one of our nurses at Ochsner when we were trying to figure out where to get a good catfish poboy, so we decided to go here to eat. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. As soon as we walked in, I fell in love with the cozy natural style/layout of the place; it reflects authenticity. Nothing fancy but feels like home. I ordered the alligator sausage poboy with fries daily special (with no mayo but remoulade sauce instead) and tea, my mom the catfish poboy with fries, and my dad the whole fried chicken plate with fries and side salad. Everything was hot, fresh, and plentiful! The alligator sausage poboy was great! (I put mustard and a little hot sauce on mine. [Made it even better] Lol) The fries were good. My dad’s fried chicken was piping hot fresh out the grease but crispy, juicy, and flavorful! My mom also enjoyed her catfish poboy. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive, too! We will definitely be back.

That au jus was perfectly salted and black peppered.
Thin sliced roast beef that was tender.
And that bread. Just enough to keep it together. Don’t try to take it Togo with gravy on it.

Great food fast. Loved stopping here and getting a fried shrimp Poboy and cup of corn and shrimp soup. Staff quickly refilled drinks and they her you in and out quickly.

We have always gotten stuffed artichokes here and enjoyed them but, today it was the worst thing I have ever eaten!! It tasted like they had dill or vinegar in it. We were very disappointed. Someone needs to see what was added to those artichokes. Awful taste
