I visited this bar to have couple drinks and dinner, but the experience was completely ruined by the bartender’s hostile attitude and what felt like clear racial discrimination. I have rarely felt so unwelcome in a business.
The main issues were:
Intentional Neglect: Even though the bar was not busy (only 9 people total), I was ignored for a long time while the bartender engaged in friendly, social conversations with the groups around me. She looked at me multiple times but chose to leave me sitting at a dirty, uncleaned counter without a word of acknowledgment.
Aggressive and Hostile Body Language: When she finally did acknowledge me, she was incredibly rude. She threw the menu at me and walked away before I could even finish my order. Later, when I asked for a straw, she slammed the straw and napkin tray down in front of me with pure aggression.
Balant Differential Treatment: This was the most hurtful part. I watched her greet other groups who arrived after me with huge smiles and immediate service. It was “two different worlds” she was warm and attentive to everyone else, but cold and dismissive toward me. The facial expressions she made when talking to me versus other customers made her bias very obvious.
Complete Lack of Professionalism: I had to practically beg for basic service, like ordering a drink or getting a straw, while other guests were being taken care of instantly. I was treated really bad.
While the drinks were okay, the service was the worst I’ve seen. Being treated with such aggression and bias is unacceptable. Management needs to look seriously at how their staff treats people of different backgrounds. I will never be back.

JT was our server tonight and he was great! Our food was exactly how it was ordered and he kept the buckets coming! Food was great! We were in Atlanta celebrating a birthday so thank you for a great night.

I don’t recommend eating here. Just go to enjoy the drinks and atmosphere.
1.. My Cajun seafood pasta had no seasoning and the scallops were cooked to the consistency of jerky. 2. The taco salad shell was only partially filled. Is there really a reason to skimp on lettuce? 3. I was charged $2.50 for extra sour cream for our quesadillas. The waiter did say that sour cream was extra, but I was not expecting $2.50 per for two tablespoons.
There are better food options in the area.

Such a fun and relaxed spot! The atmosphere at 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar is exactly what you’d hope for—laid-back, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are delicious and well made. I loved the variety on the menu, and everything came out quickly. It’s the perfect place to unwind with friends and soak up the “island time” feeling. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for a great time!

The food here is good I’d give it 4 stars and the delivery time was reasonable as well. However, the customer service was extremely poor. I waited over 30 minutes just for someone to take my order, and no one paid attention to me. Even though I was dining in, they gave me my food in a disposable container to go, with no explanation. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. It’s a shame because the quality of the food doesn’t match the terrible service.

Brilliant bar, and sitting outside in the sun late afternoon is a wonderful place for people watching and relaxing. There’s a good number of tables outside as well as bar stools along the open window. Service is friendly and quick, with a good range of drinks and sizeable food menu too. Given the prime location the prices were reasonable and I’ll certainly be returning next time I’m in the area.

The wait list was ridiculous. We were told to wait for 30 mins and said that will message or call us when ready. Double checked the phone number. But never ever received any call or messages. No greetings nor guidance at all when entering this restaurant. Don’t want to think of it as racism, but the ignorance really is.

This is a review on a place that is all about money grab to tourist. We paid $30 for a beer and red wine. When I asked for details, they ignored. When I tried to get another drink, they simply ignored. Don’t stop here. So may other places to hit.
