We popped in while waiting for our table at dinosaur BBQ on a Sat night and it was packed! After visiting on Sat night, we went back on Sunday and Monday during our short visit to Syracuse because the food and options were so good!
The bacon sunrise on brioche was an incredible choice.
The everything bagel with also a good choice for breakfast.
Was also able to try the buffalo chicken and ham and cheese from their pastry display which were good for when you want something that is not a sandwich.
The pandan coconut coffee drink was not too sweet and loved it enough to order it 2 days in a row.
The pumpkin roll, carrot cake and macarons were also great options.
So happy to had stumbled upon this place during our wait because we were able to count on it as a reliable place to pick up food through the weekend!

I was visiting Syracuse for a couple days and ended up coming to Cake Bar twice. The shop is adorable, the atmosphere is cozy, and every drink and dessert I tried was fantastic.
The taro espresso was so good I had to come back again. On my second visit, I grabbed a lotus cake and a café latte for a late-night treat — both were delicious. I’d absolutely come back anytime I’m in town.

I used to love going here but it’s starting to go downhill. I came in to get one of their specialty hot chocolates and this is what I got instead. Last year I came and it looked just like what was being advertised. Not to mention we waited 20+ minutes just for a basic hot chocolate, whipped cream, and drizzle. I didn’t even get a singular marshmallow in this when it’s advertised as being a “s’mores” hot chocolate. If they were running out of materials it would’ve been nice to know before spending $13 on hot chocolate.

I had no idea the Cake Bar in Salt City was a satellite location and that this was the main spot! My sister schooled me and took me here. What a lovely place. Many young people were enjoying the smooth ambience. We had a passion fruit flavored custard type dish which was tart and tasty. I loved it. It is a place that reminds me of where I used to hangout in college. The decor is very welcoming and homey. The dishes are good and apparently the drinks are as well.

The banana pudding is the absolute best!! The custard is always perfectly smooth and creamy layered with vanilla wafers, bananas and topped with freshly whipped cream.
The bubble teas, tarts, panna cotta are also good

Cake Bar – The Cafe is one of those rare places that instantly puts you in a good mood the moment you walk in. Everything about this spot feels warm, inviting, and full of personality, from the smell of fresh baked desserts in the air to the bright, cheerful atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The staff is friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do, which really adds to the experience.
The food here is excellent. The cakes are unbelievably moist and flavorful, and you can tell each one is made with real care and quality ingredients. Whether you’re trying a classic slice or something more unique, every bite has that perfect blend of sweetness and richness that makes you want to try another flavor before you even finish the first. The coffees and drinks pair perfectly with the desserts, and everything is served fresh and with great presentation.
The atmosphere is another huge highlight. It’s clean, cozy, and stylish without feeling overdone — the kind of place you can come to relax, talk, or just enjoy a treat by yourself. Cake Bar – The Cafe has easily become one of my favorite stops, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great desserts and friendly service.

Delicioussssssss!!! Amazing flavors & presentation of the cakes & pastries. Gingerbread cake roll was great and so was the almond croissant. For the croissant, like another reviewer mentioned, definitely heat it up to enjoy!!

The cafe is very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing, great for doing some work, or reading a book while enjoying some of their food or drinks. One thing I could say is go earlier like in the morning or the afternoon, that’s when the pastry’s are very fresh.

A super cute dessert place with flowers/books/games and a small gift shop… the staff was polite and welcoming… ordered the basque cheesecake 10/10 was delicious. My boyfriend had the flourless chocolate cake and macrons and my friends had the banana pudding & a PB Brownie everything was delicious.. their lattes & cappuccinos were also on point and they had the cutest cups. Cake Bar is hands down one of the best bakeries in town. The owner is so sweet! She comes up with fantastic new desserts and often incorporates flavors from her Vietnamese culture which I love. I’ve tried a vast assortment of her treats and drinks on busy and slow days and have yet to be disappointed. Her staff is always extremely kind and helpful whenever I or anyone I’ve seen has questions. The location on Genesee street is so cute and photogenic. It’s a great place to sit and do some work or catch up with a friend while enjoying a treat or two. 🙂
