I have been to Shinbashi many times over the years and have never been this disappointed. I ordered hot and sour soup and when I opened the container to serve it, I found that it was so thick and gooey that it wouldn’t even come off the spoon. It was gross and disgusting. I wondered how this slop could have been served to someone. To add insult to injury, I ordered a small portion and they gave me a charged me for a large portion. Very unhappy with the quality served at this place. See pic.

Great Chinese restaurant and affordable prices. Food taste was good and spicy level of the Mongolian Beef was also good. Service was fast and gentle but I got it late at night and they were tired. I was will like to go back during lunch hours and taste sine other food from their extensive menu. Over all the food was satisfying and fulfilling.

I remember when they had Green Tea at the mall in downtown Ellsworth back in the day. I don’t know if the owner will remember a family that used to come in all the time. John Laurie and their daughter Ariel. So many memories there. The cool awesome pants that were black with neon green buttons, their daughter being born, and there was a time when I didn’t even need to tell the owner my order she always knew what I wanted. Those were the good old days. I just want to say to the owners and I’m sure they are still running it thank you for the awesome food and the great service. I haven’t been to Ellsworth or Maine in a long time. But before I left Maine I got to visit Green Tea in Bangor. I was impressed as always and I gave your server a $20 tip. If I ever do come back again with my husband and son I hope to see you guys again. I’m still looking forward to my Katsu Pork

Menu needs to be updated. I ordered a spider roll, and when I received it there was lettuce in it. I did not remember ordering a roll with lettuce in it. When I waitress returned I told her it did not seem right but she confirmed it was a spider roll. Later she returned again and brought me a completely different roll along with a paper menu, stating the menu had changed. Yet the table menus had not been updated for guests who eat in? I could not eat the “free” roll because of what was in it. I would have rather had my food be fixed or comped. Rather than wasting the chefs time.
It could be helpful when ordering if the smaller rolls and hand rolls stated whether they were cooked or raw since updates need to be made regardless. The disclaimer on the bottom is great but your Boston, Alaska, Philadelphia and other basic rolls do not state ingredients.
I am pregnant and it is my own risk to order sushi but I tried to navigate and find fried or cooked items to the best of my ability. The server did not seem to understand but she tried to be helpful.

Great date night experience for our preference of sushi, veggie potstickers, and miso soup. Danielle, our server did a tremendous job!
We never were in need of anything as she was on top of it and she made sure to offer good recommendations for new favorite dishes.

One of my favorites for Asian food in the area!!! Great sushi, awesome selection of Chinese, japanese, and other selections!!! Price is well worth the quality, and great atmosphere and staff make it guest thumbs up all around!!! Your missing out if you don’t try them!!!

This place has some of the best sushi I’ve had in Maine. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing, the atmosphere was nice but not uncomfortable, and the food was wonderful. They made a great mojito as well. For the quality of the food, the prices were very reasonable, a great find in an area of Maine that can otherwise be so expensive.

The General Tso’s is the worst i have ever had. It doesn’t taste good at all. The fried rice is terrible, it has a huge amount of red onions and zucchini in it. Not good fried rice at all.Everything is so peeper and onion heavy it over powers all the other flavors. The boneless pork ribs have good color but no flavor at all. It is the worst Chinese food I have ever had.
