I visited this place while traveling along the coast. It was the right decision to visit this establishment. The food is very tasty and the portions are quite large, I had to divide them into two meals. I was surprised to see the Ukrainian dish “borscht” on the menu. Since I am from Ukraine myself, I know what this dish should be. And I was even more surprised when, while talking to the incredibly friendly staff, I found out that there was no one from Ukraine among them. So I was faced with the question, how did they find out about the Ukrainian “borscht”? They told me that they wanted to add the soup to their menu and came across such a recipe. And I can honestly say that it was incredibly tasty and with the addition of sour cream and herbs, just like at home. Thank you. I am very pleased with this place. And I want to share probably the main secret of this dish, which is that “borscht” becomes tastier when you taste it the next day, because the vegetables become more saturated and taste completely different than tasting “borscht” right after it is cooked. Absolutely incredible food and service. Gourmet meals and deserts with fabulous flavor palettes. Every meal I’ve had here has left my tastebuds applauding and my foodie soul inspired. It isn’t expensive, it is quality foods, and it is cooked fresh in a short time. It doens’t get any better than that! Especially with the options we have around here. The menu changes every day, but everything I’ve tried, I’ve loved. I’ve even tried the things I didn’t know if I would like, daring my pallet to explore new flavors, and each time I’m pleasantly surprised. Do yourself a favor and try them out. It is worth it.

Exceptional salisbury steak!!! Yukon mashed were smooth and the gravy was absolutely delicious. And the green beans were cooked to perfection. Our kid had the corndogs with fries and was blown away. This place is a gem!!!!

My only crits are tiny: I wish the bun on the dog had been toasted and the berry crumble dessert was better baked – but really, truly, everything was DELICIOUS.

Our favorite place to get dinner from in Newport! Super fresh, high quality seasonal ingredients on a menu that changes daily, but always has something scrumptious to choose from. The salads are some of the best I’ve ever eaten! The picky kiddos are super happy with the excellent chicken main dishes that routinely reappear. I’m gluten free, but my hubby says the sandwiches are fantastic. Come try it, you won’t be disappointed!

One of Newport’s best-kept secrets, the genius cuisine that was once found at Tables of Content restaurant is now in this cheerful food cart. We’ve made it here once and everything was delightfully delicious and inventive. I follow their daily menus on Facebook from afar, even though it’s a bit of torture, just to see what amazing-looking stuff they’ll do next. Can’t wait until we can make it again. Check them out before they get featured by some food network show or culinary award and their lines start being a mile long! 😉

This was my lucky day! After driving 10 hours and barely eating all day, Raised by Wolves food truck popped up on Google Maps as being just down the street from our hotel and, oh my gosh. This kind of crazy creative and inspired fusion food is my absolute favorite! Combinations you wouldn’t think of…a fried chicken sandwich with peaches, ricotta, basil aioli and hot honey and a kimchee meatloaf served with mashers and gravy and green beans straight out of somebody’s garden?! We also ordered a shrimp spring roll because we didn’t expect it to be the size of a burrito (this will be lunch tomorrow). The best part is, WE STILL HAVE A BIG OL’ PIECE OF CHOCOLATE CAKE to dive into! I’m so excited!! Text your order in ahead to save time: their menu for the day is on their Facebook page.

Cannot say enough about the phenom that is Raised by Wolves!! Delicious and creative menu, ever changing with flavor combinations that make your mouth water and tastebuds dance in anticipation just reading their descriptions. Prices are great, I can get two extraordinary meals and two desserts for less than fast food. I stop every time I see them open and my belly is ready for a treat! In the top 5 places to get some yumminess in Newport for sure!
