Nice place great atmosphere. We were able to go before people started coming in so great quarantining before busy.
Crab legs and shrimp slightly over cooked
Garlic butter slightly salty
Corn cob wasn’t cooked enough
Conch fritters were okay
Jerk chicken wings and boiled eggs were tasty.
If I came back possibly just for the wings. Unfortunately, couldn’t order just all flats not even pay an up charge for it.
Staff was nice.

Great food, great drinks, and an excellent staff. The food is amazing. This is my first time eating here, but definitely not my last. The menu had plenty of choices and my appetite is ready to make its next selection. This visit I had the fried lobster and shrimp and the food did not disappoint. There was a live band setting up when I left, so I will probably set up my next visit around enjoying the live music. 9 of 10… Deducted a point because their IG page didn’t advertise the Mother’s Day live band… Beat me there, don’t meet me there… Loved Island OMG Seafood

I’ve been twice since they opened and the food was delicious. The food was seasoned well both times I visited. My only complaint is the food needs to served in bigger plates/baskets and I wish they provided gloves and a bib. The staff are a bit unorganized but that’s to be expected when a business first opens.

My friend treated me to lunch here for my Birthday yesterday. I was extremely excited to try this new establishment, which I’ve heard so much about. However, I wasn’t that impressed Our server was nice and did an excellent job, but you can tell that the staff is not that organized. Be prepared to WAIT when you go. I was there for an hour and a half before I got my food (my friend was there and seated before I got there so the TOTAL time was even longer). I ordered conch fritters for an appetizer… they looked amazing, but didn’t taste like any I’ve ever tasted before (and not in a good way). Then I had the large snow crab plate. The snow crabs are HUGE, which was great, but everything was more SALTY than seasoned well. I also wasn’t allowed to swap the sausage for a different side since I don’t eat pork.. they only offered to take it off the plate Then they only gave me a little 2oz cup of garlic butter for ALL the stuff that came with the plate. When I asked for more, I had to PAY for it. That’s like ordering a 20 piece nugget from Mickey Ds and only being given one sauce…. makes no sense to me. The server said that’s because they pour garlic butter over the food when they fix the plate but there was CLEARLY no butter in sight on the plate. All in all, it wasn’t AWFUL experience but I probably won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

I had the AYCE Crawfish. They were delicious.
Also went back again and had the fried grouper and seafood rice with asparagus
The seafood rice was delicious! grouper was fried too perfection
Only Downfall…the Oysters I ordered DIDN’T come on a half shell!!! I Don’t like that ♀️
They were okay but you could tell they were the oysters from out of a bucket that they prepared steamed. That was very disappointing

This is sad when you can’t get good service at a black owned restaurant. I had heard such great reviews about this restaurant only to be severely disappointed at their customer service and tasteless food. It took over an hour for us to receive our food. It wasn’t anyone in there and how long does it take to cook precooked rice? While I was waiting I had a chance to peak at the kitchen where there is Sheetrock coming off the walls. I really was looking forward to this being a good spot but now I just feel robbed. Plus when the food finally came out it was still luke warm and didn’t get any silverware. Then the waitress basically Tossed the food at us. This was so unacceptable. Customer Service was terrible, I’m pretty sure they don’t care.

All it takes is one bad experience! I ordered the larger garlic snow crab for 34.99. They did not give me my shrimp and either they gave me a leftover plate or they selling food that’s gone bad.. The corn was mushy and sour and the crab legs was old and disgusting! I made the mistake of waiting until I got home to check my plate but never again!

Very dark place to eat…we had to take out our phones and use the light. Lemonade was equivalent to drinking syrup. They waitresses were very polite and helpful.

I’m here on a Sunday for brunch and I appreciate the vibe. The DJ is doing a great job of keeping it upbeat. I sat at the bar, and despite being noticeably busy, the bartender is pretty nice and attentive when she does get the chance to come around.
I ordered the crab cakes and Gouda grits with a side of shrimp and it was decent. They either buy their shrimp frozen, pre-cooked or cook it at the beginning of the day and heat it up because the shell was pretty much glued to the shrimp and that only happens when shrimp is reheated or frozen then cooked too fast. Taste-wise, it was okay because it was frozen shrimp and that’s always disappointing for a seafood restaurant in a state surrounded by water. Fresh seafood tastes like the water it lived in and this tasted like nothing, so they likely use farmed, frozen seafood.
The crab cakes are good and seasoned well, they just need a better binder to keep it together. Not a big deal because their shape wouldn’t make them taste different, but presentation should still be a goal and these were basically crab cake bites.
The grits should be just be labeled grits because there was veeeeeery little gouda in them lol. Like, I could taste when I (finally) got some in a forkful, it was so scarce. I would come back, but probably only with someone that wanted to eat here. It wasn’t bad, just not an experience I’d be dying to have again on purpose.
