Got the pad Thai and Thai iced tea to go. Very good! Pad Thai wasn’t greasy or heavy but still very flavorful and savory. The tea is sweet but not too much like some places where you feel like you’re drinking syrup. It’s just right! A real gem. The waitress was very friendly and nice too

I absolutely adore this restaurant!!! I’ve been coming here every other week on my lunch break and it’s the best part of my day. I look forward to it every time i go! I really wish this place got more recognition. Their pickup orders are done in 10-15 minutes, the food is fresh every time. It’s never greasy or makes me sick. They’re very sweet and professional. I highly recommend this place to everyone I know and will continue to come here every other week!

It was our first time here, we enjoyed the service and the food. They only have bottled water. And only one free refill on the sweet tea. The golden purses were pretty good (it was my first time). The fried dumplings were very yummy with the soy sauce. My son enjoyed the chicken fried rice (no veggies) and I had the seafood (shrimp, scallops and fish) yellow curry (this one comes with (pineapple) it was good although not really spicy. The Thai tea was tasty!

King and I is one of my go-to places for lunch and dinner in Canyon. And how odd that a town of 15,000 has four Asian eateries! I am calling that a blessing in disguise, because I just love Asian food.
This one is a true Mom and Pop operation, and sometimes with the help of a young woman to run table service. I give high praise to the two owners for their steadfast commitment to being open and serving excellent fare. You don’t get rich doing this.
Tonight, Youngest Daughter had the Spider Roll sushi, which included crab meat, avocado, asparagus, and two kinds of tuna. The serving size was more than adequate, and she brought half of it home for tomorrow’s lunch.
I had one of my two faves, this time the Tofu Pad Thai. This is my comfort food. Noodles, carrots, broccoli, tofu, peanuts, and a few other ingredients come together with the perfect heat-rendering spices to make for an explosion of flavor. And typically, that explosion results in a Level 1 response to Thai heat, which is a runny nose. Napkin, please.
Prices are very fair (we both ate for about $24), and you cannot leave hungry. Come here enough times, and they already have a good idea what you will order. We may not be able to communicate much in English, but food is the universal language, and I love what they’re saying with each dish served.

We’ve visited here several times and always enjoyed the food. The King and I seems to be a family run concern and they are always courteous and friendly. This restaurant is not the easiest to find and does not have a clearly marked parking area. BUT if you’re nearby it is well worth the effort to find it.

Best Thai in town!!!
Amazing variety of food and good service! I come for the quality of food, so It’s worth the wait and price.
Recommend the Thai Noodle Soup, House Duck, and Indonesian Fried Rice (all pictured below). Also the Chili Fish (no pic). If you want to add spice sprinkle on the chili oil. To finish it off, mango sticky rice for desert (pictured).

Excellent food. We can recommend the Crispy Chicken Basil and Ginger Chicken Stirfry. The restaurant was very empty for a Saturday afternoon. The interior was humble but nice and clean. Will definitely visit again next time we pass through.

The food was amazing, I’m just sad that I forgot my to-go box. The service was prompt and polite. The menu choices were really good too. I see that this seems to be listed only as a sushi restaurant, but it is so much more. I’ve had numerous things and have enjoyed each one. My friend who lived here for a while and then moved away chose this as the place that she wanted to eat most…and missed most. So, food picture, crazy noodles in foreground, “fresh roll” appetizer (sorry, only one lonely segment shown), and basil pad Thai in background.
