Went there on a Tuesday night and place was close to empty. I ordered the Porterhouse Pork Chop. It was pretty good. Very smokey taste which was ok but the 2nd most prominent flavor was salt. Pork wasn’t moist at all. Just ok overall. My wife ordered the Norwegian Salmon Cake and she really enjoyed it.

The steak was fine and the cocktails were good. The baked chips with bacon dip used lays potato chips, not baked and the fancy potato dish was a pile of greasy shredded potatoes. The port wine for dessert was a generous pour for the price. For the price, the food needs to be better, especially when there were only 2 or 3 tables. It was dead for a Saturday night.

Went there with a group for an early dinner. We met at 4:30. When we get seated. We find out they have a limited menu. Now notification that that would be the case. 65 per person. A salid, beef stroginof and blood orange Crème brûlée. This didn’t even include the unsweetened ice tea. At the end it came with a 20% gratuity and on the credit card slip it ask for more. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. 173 for two people with a prescribed menu is horrible.

We were in downtown Springfield at an appointment and decided to get lunch here. The store is decorated very nicely inside. There is a modern contemporary design with a choice of booths or tables. We were met at the front station by the host and shown to our booth. The seats were comfortable. The wait staff arrived quickly to show us the menus and explain specials, and take our drink orders. I ended up getting the sesame chicken, and my spouse got the fish and chips. The food arrived in a very short time. The chicken was on a bed of fried rice. There was a flavorful sauce, and the meat was tender. There was a whisper of heat on the back end of the spice blend. I really liked it. It’s not really spicy but just a bit. The fish and chips were nice and crunchy and featured a sweet honey drizzle. That was a nice touch. There was a big pile of fries served. More than we could eat. We both took home leftovers. The service was great. The staff checked on us several times, and the food was delicious. Prices were fair as well. I’m coming back to try other menu choices.

My husband and I had a date night here and weren’t impressed. Although the restaurant is located in a historic building and very unique, the food was lacking. I had the ravioli dish and would not recommend it to anyone. It was by far the worst meal I’ve had at any restaurant. It looked like slop you would feed livestock and the taste was just as bad. With that being said, my husband’s pork chop was cooked perfectly. The complimentary biscuits were tasteless and dry. The menu is VERY limited and they wouldn’t allow any substitutions! We were told that they only make enough sides for certain meals and therefore cannot accommodate any substitutions (not even if you payed for an up charge either). Not everyone likes certain sides that automatically comes with the meals. Also, we were sat near a door, so every time someone would go out to smoke it would waft right to our table when they came back inside. Very disappointing and we will not return which is a shame since we like supporting local businesses.

I loved the atmosphere of this place, but I will return for the delicious food. It had sort of an unassuming Store front on a pretty little side street in Springfield. But it’s actually pretty spectacular when you walk inside. Very cool, modern decor, filled with original photographs taken on the streets of Paris. The menu is moderately priced with creative options. I had Moroccan spiced shrimp which was all flavor without excess heat. So good. Next time I am in Springfield, I will definitely be back here.
