The food is okay. Not bad, but nothing special. Fairly mid Indian food. We asked for 9/10 spice. They warned us it’s very spicy and we said it’s fine. The food came out at a 2/10 spice and that’s being generous. I’m not sure what happened there.

The service was complete chaos though. We got roti and naan and when the roti came out, they said it was naan… Which we were like, that doesn’t look like naan, are you sure it’s not the roti. They confirmed it was naan. Then the naan came out later, confirming what we got first was the roti. Really? How do your own Indian workers not know what’s roti and what’s naan? We ordered tea that didn’t come after asking at least 5 times. Finally after dinner was done, we got the tea.

There was just constant confusion it seemed from the service staff.

Buffet is usual Indian buffet, everyone goes for the buttery chicken and fresh garlic Nan. It’s clean atmosphere and you’re greeted with a giant smile.

Sorry, I cleared my plate.

We went to this restaurant today (on Christmas night). Had a very bad experience… The person at the counter told us to wait and as we were waiting a lady (apparently the owner) came out of the kitchen and told us very rudely that we cannot stand like that (near the counter) and that it’s busy. We understand they were busy, but we were standing there because two of their employee said we will get a table in 3 minutes and they were working on it. Had it been any other day, I would have walked out of this place, but it was Christmas and all the shops were closed and I didn’t want the kids to stay hungry at night.

And after getting the table we had to wait
45+ minutes to get our order. We were not even given water in spite of asking it two times… Food was horrible !!!
More than anything, I wish they had some basic manners. This lady was behaving rudely to one other customer as well.

If you are busy and cannot accommodate people please stop taking customers, don’t insult people who came to your restaurant..
You are not serving free food… I had been to many other restaurants in the U.S, but had a worse experience here… People deserves to be respected !!!

Food leaves much to be desired. Odd taste for the three entrees we ordered — vindaloo didn’t taste like vindaloo. Chicken tikka didn’t look or taste like tikka…more like stir fry. Grease floated on top. Gave us heartburn. Breads were fine but not great. And the rice was average. Very disappointing since it has a decent rating.

My whole family loved our dinner from Monsoon Indian. My 10 year old cannot tolerate any spice. Knowing this, the chef cooked the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and eggplant truly without spice, thoughtfully putting the chili in a separate container for the adults to enjoy. Even without the spice, each dish was full flavor. Truly one of the most delicious Indian meals we have enjoyed!

We went for the lunch buffet. There weren’t too many people, but the place lacked ambience and life. The food was cooked and served in the buffet, and the taste was mediocre at best. The papads were over-fried, so were the chicken pakoras. The garlic naan was good.

Of the music is off. Just let them know you want to hear it. Great place for a date, just 1 person or in a group. The food is amazing. 1 entree could have fed both of us. We always get extra. The naam with the lamb is awesome. I really dont care for lamb. I had to try it.

Very, very bad. I have had way better Indian food in Colorado. Almost every gravy was extremely sour.

Please never ever go to this place.

As a vegetarian, to find a restaurant that does not just cater to non-vegetarians is extremely rare but Monsoon caters to all not just those meat eaters and does it better than anyone. We’ve been eating here for a year or more and it just gets better each time. *We’ve only eaten here during the buffet so we’ve gotten it instead of menu orders. They bring you choice of Naan to the table and you can go straight to buffet. Everything for me and my husband (meat eater) was the best that we’ve ever had. Honestly, they beat any restaurant in the desert. It’s an easy place to miss so use that Google map search for it. There are other locations in Palm Springs, which is excellent also and Indio, which we haven’t tried yet.

We have lived in this area for over 6 years. This is the best Indian cuisine we’ve found! The service is great, the atmosphere is good and best of all the food is wonderful. I had the curry lamb and loved it! You can get the food at whatever ‘heat’ you want! I highly recommend Monsoon Indian Cuisine!
