Don’t let the size of this roast and toast fool you! They have all the same robust flavor and fabulous service that you should be able to expect from roast and toast. So if you are passing by the hospital in Petoskey. Or you just happen to find yourself here go to roast and toast and get your caffeine fix and maybe a little snack.

Yelp listed the staff wears masks (nope) and masks required (nope) which neither bothered me but just so you know.
Also I wish I had known the procedure before paying and leaving a nice tip….you order at the counter, you get your own coffee (unless it’s a specialty coffee), you pick up your order and you’re asked to bring your dirty dishes to the cart…so what exactly are you doing besides cooking my meal? Not a big deal and maybe locals get that but I was caught a bit off guard on it. But to be honest I just now (several hours after our visit) read the complete amenities section and it does say no wait service so I should have known but now I’m telling you all
Food was good. Hubby asked for his wrap to be put in bowl, which they suggested they could do, but it came in a wrap. When we refilled our coffee a couple of the pots were empty so we had to settle for what was there at the time. My French toast was pretty good, not as good as I’ve had at other places but still good.
Prices are average and parking could get crazy during busy times as it’s street parking.
Would I go here again? Sure, now that I know the ropes but I’d probably try another place in town instead (that’s me, I like to try different places when visiting).

I am only giving you a one star because the soup I bought today was terrible (which is unbelievable for you). It was called “lemon spinach” and was so bitter with lemon and totally lacking spinach that I almost threw it away. It was 75 % carrots. ☹️ I decided to take it home because of the cost and try to fix it to my taste. I added spinach and some rotisserie chicken I had but it was still sooooo lemony and salty I ended up pitching it. Your soups have always been delicious I hope this was just a fluke!

Emma, the girl that took my order was absolutely terrible. Zero customer service. She acted like everyone was bothering her even being there. People remember a smile and good customer service so unfortunately I won’t be going back. The inside is also pretty dirty, the floors had dirty napkins, straw wrappers, and food them all over. The drinks and food are good but due to the staff member that took my order being so darn rude I’ll skip this place next time.

We came on a Monday for breakfast. It ended up being a good option. This isn’t a sit down restaurant and other than the cooking/drink preparing you do everything else – order at counter, pick up food when ready and put your dirty dishes away. Just something to know and expect when coming!
Our party of five enjoyed the food – breakfast sandwich, bagel with cream cheese, chicken bacon ranch wrap.
I do think there is an opportunity to improve service a bit… maybe explain things more to new patrons, be more approachable, etc.
The space itself is cute and well decorated.

I want to like this local hangout because friends like to meet there. But my stomach hurts after eating the food, my clothing and hair smells bad after leaving the place (venting?) and please clean dining area more often and in corners. Coffee is good.

There’s usually a line so prepare to wait during rush hours. They also are very slow to get everything together.
Besides that….
The coffee and cold brews are delicious and the food is very tasty. We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve ordered. Healthy food options are great and they do it right.

Cute little shop! Stopped for a refreshing drink and was surprised they had so many options besides coffee. Their food looks delicious as well, when we’re back in the area again we will definitely come back!
