THE TABLE 22. chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, tomato, prosciutto, arugula, lemon-honey vinaigrette, balsamic glaze. THE ROMAN 20. stracciatella, prosciutto …

you think you’re prepared for the enormity of the sandwiches until you actually see it and you’re confronted with an absolute colossal behemoth. we tried both of their famous sandwiches , the table (added stracciatella, although couldn’t really taste it at all ) and the spicy vodka chicken parm sub — they were very different and both DELICIOUS, but i think i preferred the chicken parm just a tiny bit more. the vodka sauce is actually insane , I NEED IT ON EVERYTHING. it’s got a bit of a spice to give it a kick, just a hint of sweetness from the tomato, and it was just so creamy and rich and it made every bite so so so much better. the chicken cutlets (plural) they used in the sandwiches were also super tender and moist, and didn’t even taste dry after eating a bunch which is super impressive.
the vodka chicken parm had melty cheese, a soft fluffy bun/roll, and the basil gave quite an intense green, earthy, herby taste that balanced the meaty chicken and savoury sauce. seriously drown it in vodka sauce.
the table was also super great, and was more like your classic italian sandwich. not only did it have MASSIVE chicken cutlets, it was also stuffed with delicate, salty, silky prosciutto, which went well with the bright-tasting, fresh arugula, sweet tomato, and mozzarella. the focaccia was also super fluffy and had a light, aromatic rosemary fragrance. i wish i could taste the balsamic glaze a bit more, i think a sweet component would’ve really elevated the sandwich. honestly it was so big that it was hard to enjoy all the flavours at once unless i absolutely unhinged my jaw. also drown this in vodka sauce !

If you’re going to wait in line for one hour, it better be the best sandwich of your life. This was definitely it. We were so reluctant to get in line after everything we saw on Instagram, and it met all of our expectations. Not only that, but the sandwich was so big, we actually had leftovers.
100% worth the price and the wait. The focaccia bread was delicious and it was probably one of the best chicken cutlets I’ve ever had.
Bravo!

Lives up to the hype, the sandwiches were just massive we got like 3 chicken cutlets on just one sandwich. Definitely not a fast food joint you want to order online ahead of time to avoid the wait. I loved the table sandwich but thought it could be dry at times but the prosciutto and mozzarella makes up for it. My gf had the chicken cutlet sandwich with the pesto and that sandwich was delicious the pesto is really strong and delicious so highly recommend. Overall a great place and they have so many other sandwiches, I want to go back just to try the chicken with vodka sauce sandwich.

Nov 19, 2025 12:52pm Wednesday. Had to try the classic Italian. Deli meat was all fresh, with Mortadella, salami, capicola, provolone tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce. And also got Chicken Parmesan with a side of Vodka Sauce. The sandwiches are huge! The bread is freshly soft inside and outside a golden crust herbs, and spices, inside fresh onions, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles! The service was excellent everyone seems like family friendly welcoming even though the place was crazy business! They seem to love their job a lot of unique store all kind of things you can buy it was a warm vibe in story. The chicken cutlet sandwiches I got sub the vodka sauce it was 10 out of 10 the the cutlet was well seasoned and cooked perfectly moist on inside not dry at all it seemed like it was 4 pieces of cutlet omg! I ate half the sandwiches and couldn’t finish the other half I will eat the other half for dinner you really get your money’s worth for the sandwiches! That is rare to find! The Italian sandwich had the same issue only can eat half and save other half for later or tomorrow! Great customer service family vibes with staff.

I stopped by TABLE Mercato on a weekday afternoon and grabbed the Vodka Chicken Cutlet Sandwich and it did not disappoint. Even during the lunch hour, I only waited about 5 minutes for a hot sandwich. The folks ordering cold cuts were served a bit faster, which makes perfect sense, but the quick turnaround overall was great.
The portion size definitely matches the price point. I ordered a large and could realistically only make it through half (no regrets, it was delicious). The vodka sauce came out super hot, which made it especially comforting to eat outside on a chilly autumn day.
If I had one small wish, it’d be for a fork, the sandwich is generous and a little intense to tackle without some extra help. But honestly, that’s part of its charm.
I also have a nut allergy and avoided the Sicilian since it has pistachio pesto, but I had zero issues with cross-contamination. Always reassuring, and clearly I’m still here to write the review!
Overall, a fantastic spot in the North End if you want something hearty, flavorful, and fast. Highly recommend.

Holy moly are the only safe for work words to describe the TABLE and Spicy Vodka Chicken Parm sandwiches. It’s so easy to tell that this place cares about one thing only, their customers. The sandwiches are loaded, but perfectly proportioned, the staff is friendly and upfront with expectations of potential wait times, and the vibe inside is one that makes you want to try everything. I’d find it hard to believe that anyone has ever had sandwiches like these before.

Sandwiches were great! Which is what you’re going for.
Dinged service because it wasn’t very crowded, yet everyone waited appropriately 45 minutes for sandwiches. I mean I walked to Mikes Pastries waited in line & ordered (if U know U know), walked back & still had to wait another 20 minutes. The people were great though.
Atmosphere- it is what it is, small, quaint, cool little bottega that serves great sandwiches!

One sandwich is huge. Feeds two people. So do not be afraid of the price. Fresh taste of all the ingredients. Small shop so space is limited but the amount of merchandise is incredible. Sat outside in the 10 degree cold wind. Could not feel my fingers. It is definitely a summer thing unless you prep for weather in the winter. It isn’t a deal breaker, just be aware so that your eating experience is the best it can be!!!

OMG BEST SANDWICH EVER!!!!!!! Everyone needs to come here and experience these delicious sandwiches. Seriously the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I was in Boston for a wedding otherwise I would be 50lbs heavier from getting it daily!!! Run don’t walk here!!!
We got the Table, the Turkey, and the Chicken Cutlet and split them. (Highly recommend getting a side of the vodka sauce to dip the sandwiches in too lol) They are massive so you really only need half a sandwich, but they truly are life changing. I will dream of this sandwich until I return again!!! The owner Jen knows what’s up!!! 1000/10 experience

While the line was out the door it moved pretty quickly and the amazing team inside is going nonstop to churn out these massive sandwiches. We got The Table and practically ran back to the car to dive into it once we heard our name called. Every bite was fresh and delicious. It’s savory with a touch of sweetness all sandwiched between the most delicious focaccia bread. The two of us couldn’t even finish one sandwich. Plenty to take home. You definitely get a great quality sandwich along with your money’s worth.
