This bakery is fantastic!! I needed a cake for my three year old and I reached out on fb and Mike the owner got back to me right away. I called and we spoke I explained what I wanted which was a beautiful frozen cake. He communicated with me throughout the process and made sure to give me updates on the details. The cupcakes came out delicious and they weren’t dried out which sometimes cupcakes can get. Even after the party the cupcakes they remained moist. Many compliments at the party. They even wheel the cake out to you car! I will definitely go through Mike again for my future events thank you so much for making my daughter’s cake beautiful and tasty!

I cannot emphasize how delicious and unique flavor. This location has an addition to the high-quality of the ice cream they provide.
We have tried most of those flavors, the regular flavors that you can try in any place and the very very, very, very, very unique flavors that the taste literally take you all the way to Italy ♥️
My favorite ice cream is the basil berry. I cannot remember, but it’s really really good and light.
The staff are so friendly fast and hospitable. They allow you to try multiple flavor and they are ready when you’re ready to order.
It is very spacious place and there is an extension store where there are seating areas and there are also an outside seating areas to enjoy your ice cream before hitting better too

From the moment we stepped into Guerriero Gelato, we could feel the love behind every scoop.
Mike Guerriero’s story is incredible—starting out sweeping floors at 13 and eventually opening his own award-winning shop. My wife and I had the privilege of going behind the scenes, and watching the team create gelato from scratch was truly inspiring. You can taste the difference. This isn’t just dessert—it’s an experience crafted with real care.
We sampled so many incredible flavors—but the ones that truly stood out for me were:
Blueberry Basil – beautifully balanced, fresh, and totally unique. It’s no surprise this flavor won an award in 2019—it tastes like summer and creativity in every bite.
☕ Espresso Chip – rich, bold, and perfectly textured, with just the right amount of chocolate crunch.
Mango – light, refreshing, and full of real fruit flavor.
Coconut – smooth, creamy, and tropical without being too sweet.
Vanilla Chip (Stracciatella) – a perfect classic, with delicate chocolate ribbons that melt just right.
The flavors were so delicious, we forgot to take pictures—but we did leave with 5 pints.
One of them was Fat Elvis, which tastes like a frozen peanut butter Reese’s in the best possible way.
Also worth noting: the entire kitchen and shop were spotless. Everything was so clean and organized, it instantly made us trust the freshness and quality of every flavor even more.
Mike and his wife Breanna have built something beautiful together, and their team—including Amanda, who helps bring it all to life through stunning photo and video content—makes the whole place feel like a celebration of creativity and community.
Highly recommend visiting if you’re anywhere near Caldwell, NJ.

The thickness and creaminess of the milkshakes were perfect but overall, the flavor lacked a lot. The cake batter milkshake tasted like egg nog and the butter pecan milkshake didn’t taste like anything. It was very bland. And what was very odd, there was frozen chunks of slush/ice. I don’t know how to properly describe it but it was weird. Overall, pretty disappointed.

We had Guerriero Gelato & Cakes at our school’s graduation today, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish!! Even though they’re not in our town, Mike (the owner) was incredibly supportive and flexible with our budget. He was responsive, professional, and genuinely kind—making the entire planning process seamless.
Carter, who ran the cart today, was also very awesome. He arrived on time, quickly navigated to our setup area, and got everything ready quickly. He was polite, respectful, and never made us feel rushed. The whole experience was stress-free and smooth, which is all you can hope for during a busy school event.
And of course, the ice cream was amazing! We got 4 flavors, cookies and cream and birthday cake were the biggest hit!! We all loved it. Everything went so smoothly—we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I was hoping to like the ice cream from the reviews. The butter pecan was more butterscotch then butter pecan and the texture was all ice. All I tasted with crunchy ice throughout. My sister got vanilla and it was the same texture. I won’t be back.

I came to this location under the prior ownership years ago and loved it. Today was the first time trying this ice cream shop under the new ownership and unfortunately this place went downhill! The ice cream did NOT taste homemade nor was it good! I had the the chocolate peanut butter and pumpkin flavors and my boyfriend had the banana Oreo. The chocolate peanut butter was flat out horrible and no peanut butter in sight! The pumpkin was mediocre. My boyfriend did not enjoy his banana Oreo flavor either! On top of that they were out of every topping I asked for! No peanut butter, Reese’s cup, or Reese’s pieces! The owners should try Cranford creamery and taste what good homemade ice cream should taste like. Your better off getting yourself a pint of Ben & Jerry’s then stopping here!

Absolutely love this place! My first time here and I am Absolutely coming back to this special location. Best ice cream I have EVER had after Leopold’s in Savannah, GA (being honest here). I ordered pina colada with all cherry toppings, and since I am feeling adventurous, I ordered a small cherry basil gelato ….both so delicious and refreshing! A Must try if you’re in the area. Reading Mikes story while waiting, also gave me inspiration. You can accomplish your dreams if you put your mind and heart into your creations and ideas. God bless ❤️

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Guerriero Gelato is hands down one of the best ice cream spots around. As a diabetic, it’s incredibly hard to find sugar-free options that actually taste good and Guerriero knocks it out of the park every time. They always have a rotating selection of sugar-free flavors, which is such a rare and appreciated find.
A special shoutout to the owner, Mike, who went above and beyond to make sure my favorite sugar-free flavor (coffee chip) was available on short notice. That kind of care and customer service is hard to come by.
Their flavors of the month are also something to look forward to—don’t miss the Elvis if it’s available. It’s a solid 11/10. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things. This place is a gem!
