An open thank you to the people who make a difference.
This glowing review-turned-thank-you isn’t without its bias.
Lynnie and Caroline have been part of my life since high school, and The Crossroads is where I learned so many of my early life lessons. But now, at 40, with a family of my own, it’s something even more important.
The Crossroads is one of my safe places.
It’s where I can be myself. No mask. No pretending. No editing who I am.
It’s always felt like home — like time somehow hasn’t changed us.
But last night, while celebrating my dad’s 75th birthday there, something hit me in a way it never had before. I looked around the room and had to hold back tears.
Because David was safe there too.
Most of you know Davey has autism. Restaurants are usually not safe spaces for us. There are often judgmental looks, impatient staff, and that familiar “autism mom” feeling of being watched and judged — even when he’s just quietly stimming under the table.
But last night was different.
David played freely.
He laughed.
He smiled.
He ate pool cue chalk… and no one charged me.
No one told me to contain him.
No one asked what was wrong with him.
No one stared.
No one made me feel like we didn’t belong.
Instead, our normal simply existed there.
Zurg and Buzz battled on the pool table.
Jumba wandered through the restaurant and bar keeping a watchful eye.
David stimmed loudly with two devices and ran joyful circles around the room.
And we laughed.
And now I’m crying the happiest tears.
Because my safe place…
is his safe place too.
Thank you, Crossroads, for being the kind of place that makes families like mine feel like we belong.
It means more than you could ever know.

Cozy place to uplift your senses!
The clams were incredibly divine.
They have certain days for unbeatable specials. The wings that we took out were absolutely heavenly. Three orders. One order was garlic and butter, the other was a little spicy that was on point. The other a hint of honey mustard.
Everyone was right… wings are truly a culinary masterpiece!

Gem of a place. An older place, but those are the best. The pictures online do it no justice. A lot bigger of a place that I thought. The wings were awesome. Tried 3 different flavors just to check a few of them… They were all fantastic. I will post pictures next visit.

Tonight my wife & I went to the crossroads for dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic, atmosphere was amazing ( this was our first time there as we are new to the area ). We enjoyed everything except for when a waitress appeared to be arguing with a customer . She had low buns in her hair, black t shirt, jeans, & hoop earrings in. I would be embarrassed to have her work for my company/ business. She was extremely unprofessional & we couldn’t believe what we were seeing .

Me Hubby and the kids went to dinner tonight, my server was awesome she’s so sweet! Bartender was also so amazing and sweet! The food was burnt dry and nasty. I had the 8 ounce steak it was over cooked no flavor just awful and a waste of money. My hubby had a cheesesteak and all his meat was dry and tough! Absolutely horrible. My son has boneless wings and they were so hard! We were very upset about dinner tonight and my husband couldn’t even eat all of his hero because it was so tough dry and burnt. My brother and sister in-law came there late but ordered bbq boneless wings and they were also over cooked hard as can be. I have never had an issue there ever until tonight and I’m beyond sad about it. I wasted almost $100 on burnt nasty food

Employees are fabulous. Food is good. Clams are now too expensive. However, allowing dogs in a bar is taking it too far. I have an actual trained and truly certified Service dog for actual medical reasons. But having a “service dog” right at the entrance is a big no. Going to the bar used to be relaxing. I make sure I leave my dog at home if I’m just going to have a drink. Sure if you need your real service dog, bring it. But curb the dog. Don’t permit it in an establishment if it’s going to jump up, growl, bark, etc. Yes, you legally can refuse service to a nuisance service dog. Section 10 ADA. Also, you’re not permitted to put a service charge on debit cards in PA.

A little pricey for barfood but decent food. (Hence the 3 stars). Friendly staff and customers. Always a good time!
