DEF NOT a Russian Spi
Eh. I’m part Italian and I know what good pizza is, being raised in NY. Literally have ate pizza all over America. My Husband REALLY wanted good pizza. We did a Google search and IKEs popped up. We figured we’d give it a try. We honestly should have just went to McDonalds, or Taco Bell. So let’s get into it, Honestly:
The Mac and Cheese was Good. Honestly it was the only thing I was really impressed with. They used an adequate amount of cheese, to leave the Mac and cheese full of flavor and the portion size for $8.00 is pretty great. Now the “Rigaroni Vodka”, is another story. The “Rigatoni” aren’t even Rigatoni noodles, they’re like a Wide Fusilli noodle. I wanted the Vodka Rigatoni, exclusively for the sauce. (Isn’t that what we all want?!) To be Honest, You can’t taste the Vodka sauce. It tastes like regular sauce with cream cheese added in it to LOOK like they made it “alla Vodka.”
It’s missing Robust Flavor. My Mom takes 8 Hours to make her spaghetti sauce, this “Vodka Sauce” isn’t tangy, plentiful, creamy, or rich. And just soaked up with the noodles. Nevertheless, it was Edible. The portion sizes are Not the best. All pizzas are the same size, and the service is okay. It’s not Great, it’s just okay.
The Pizza:
The pizza was very disappointing. I was hoping to get a “little piece of home.” Something that resembles or comes close to finding NY style pizza. (REALLY Hard to find in the South! LOL) and was hopeful. There was no crust on the pizza, or sauce. lol so the burnt bottom of the pizza, sticks to the cheese on the top. It was really weird eating a dry pizza. It was so dry the sauce looked cracked on the crust. As seen in pictures, the Pizza is VERY THIN. Lol.
The place is Nice, The girls working on Sunday were okay. We went after Church. It was a little discouraging to see them all in Tight short-shorts though. So besides that, the Ambiance and Atmosphere were Fair. The one pizza we ordered… the White Pizza, was so Very Salty. And has Gorgonzola cheese on it, wasn’t too good. I think Gorgonzola cheese is the wrong cheese to use on that. My Husband agreed, it kind of throws the balance and taste of the pizza off by giving it this moldy, Bleu Cheese taste.
We thought Goat cheese would be supple, cleaner, and lighter.
Overall, we were a little disappointed. Then our Stomachs were a Mess later on after.
My recommendations:
-Barely any parking- Traffic Cones and Road work blocking A LOT of spaces.
-The Mac and Cheese is Great!
-Garlic Knots are awesome
-I would call ahead and order for pickup.
Pros:
-Decent Mac and Cheese
Cons:
-Less than Mediocre Quality of food
-Pricey for the Proportions, and the food isn’t that spectacular.
-No Parking

Food was tasty, served quickly. Had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was good, the pasta was thick and served all dente. Sauce was well seasoned and not too salty, and didn’t overpower the pasta and chicken. Garlic knot rolls are delicious. Also had traditional wings with lemon pepper sauce, cheese steak with fries, and Caesar salad with chicken – all very good. But the stand out was the sour lemon martini… Perfect! Nice outdoor patio dining area, but we ate inside due to rain. Very good overall experience.

I used to love coming here so it’s hard to leave a bad review. However, we came here for valentine’s day and the vodka sauce rigatoni tasted like milk and noodles. The calamari was pretty much just breading, so much so that we didn’t even finish it. I would not recommend either of these dishes or the establishment. Sadly, will not be returning.

I’m giving 3 stars because the food was good & fresh. But as far as taste, I’ll pass. I wasn’t impressed at all. The service was good though. And the bar area is gorgeous. If I hadn’t been dealing with business, I would have had a drink. I love artisan pizza most of the time. But this place just didn’t do it for me. And the crust tasted burned. Sigh

Pizza here is great, the sides a tad expensive, well displayed but I wasn’t a huge fan of the fried green tomatoes. They were hot though, and pizza is truly great here. Highly recommend. They also had great service. I also know most of the people that work here, that definitely tips the scales. Overall a nice place to eat in middlesboro.

My family brought me here for my birthday. It was a great time and we absolutely love the food!
The big hot pizza oven was fun for the children to watch. We ordered the all-meats pizza, spaghetti with meatballs, white cheese flat bread, chicken wings, and some child menu items. You can’t go wrong at Ike’s!

We ordered the Cudjo’s Cave pizza with caramelized onions instead of red onions. It was absolutely delicious with its different levels of enjoyment from the brick oven crust almost smoked kissed, to the BBQ sauce, which was a little too light. The cheese and seasoning were tasty and the chicken was mouth watering, truly, with big huge chunks. I gave 4 stars because the service. It’s a Thursday night and they were swamped (that speaks volumes about the food) and a little bit of everyone stopped to help us at our table, but our waitress was lacking. All in all, we will definitely be back.

We have stopped in twice on the last two weeks and both times our meal tasted burnt. Chicken Parm was burnt and then just this past Friday, with a group of 11 our pizza had what appeared to be something that had been burned in the oven previously all over the bottom of the crust or it was just burnt, the pizza having a heavy burned taste. We enjoy the atmosphere outside and the servers are always friendly and great. Wish the food was better……

We had such a great experience at Ike’s Pizza in Middlesboro! Our waitress, Kelsey, was absolutely wonderful—so sweet and attentive, which made the visit even better. We ordered the double pepperoni pizza, cooked perfectly in their brick oven, and it was delicious. We also tried the homemade beer cheese with pretzels, and wow—it was fabulous! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back again soon! Keep up the amazing work.
