I ordered jerk chicken and curry chicken. The plates comes with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The jerk chicken was alright needed to be seasoned better. they give you 3small leg quarters. The curry was dry and bland. The rice and peas was made with basmati rice which is not authentic. The rice didn’t have beans there was so few it looked like decoration. The plantains weren’t ripe yet so they weren’t sweet. Also they need to clean their chicken after they cut it up. There was so many bone fragments it was becoming annoying. I want to eat my food without worrying about cracking a tooth and spitting out bone. Overall the food was like what you get from a friends house who’s mother can make a decent meal but can’t throw down. So far I’m sticking to D chill spot in rocky mount they have the Jamaican food on lock.

Customer service was spectacular, very genuine people with PHENOMENAL food!! Will be back for more! The chicken is tender and perfectly seasoned and the rice was soft but not too soft and very flavorful! Definitely 10/10 must try!

I’ve been here about five times recently and have tried the curry chicken and the jerk chicken. The service has generally been okay, but not overly warm or welcoming or anything. The food generally takes about 15 minutes to prepare, which is fine but not ideal if you’re in a rush.
The jerk chicken was surprisingly not very good. While the chicken itself is juicy, the sauce that it is tossed in reminds me of a jerk chicken sauce you might find at Chili’s or Applebee’s. The sauce was overly sweet, vinegary, and tasted overwhelmingly of Worcestershire sauce. I’ve had lots of authentic jerk chicken in Jamaica and this was nothing close to it.
The curry chicken however, was delicious. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The sauce itself was rich and delicious. I would definitely recommend eating the curry chicken.
The side dishes are also nothing to write home about. The plantains are under seasoned and have always been a little stale. The rice and cabbage has always been bland unless you can get some sauce on it. But again, the jerk chicken sauce is not very good.
Overall, I’d recommend the curry chicken and avoiding the jerk chicken. Maybe there are other dishes are okay but I can’t say.

I got the curry chicken & Cabbage (no beans & rice or plantains, As they had sold out).. The cabbage was UNBEARABLY spicy (like someone had dumped a whole jar of red pepper in it ♀️) And the curry chicken was spicy as well but not that bad.. The issue with the chicken was that every bite had little pieces of crushed up bone in it that I had to keep spitting out.. First time eating here and unfortunately I did not enjoy my food at all.
