i was a little hesitant to visit here because of the reviews, but we came in anyway. got some fried pickles and poboy, it was great! i think a lot of the bad reviews are from rich folk not use to home cooked tasting food. its superbowl night everyones loud and rambunctious and just having a great time. definitely a dive bar kind of vibe at night and we will definitely be back.

It was a great time and my dog was welcome which was so so amazing. I also enjoyed chatting with the locals. Very very beautiful women on Grand Isle, unlike I’ve ever seen before. Omg and the accents!!! But right when you start chatting with em they disappear. But other than that best spot ever don’t go anywhere else

I had never been to Grand Isle before and found Tommy’s on my visit. What a great place! Weather was not great so spent a few days inside and this is where I landed. Great food, the staff and people are terrific people, welcomed and treated me as one of their own. I miss them and highly recommend Tommy’s. Do yourself a favor and take in the view from the deck… it’s amazing.

Food and drinks were good, crayfish nacho dip was awesome. A little on the high price side, but a great place to stop. Bartender was very friendly.

Arties is now Tommy’s Restaurant and Bar. The outside is charming and cute, though there is lots of trash and cigarettes on the ground. The inside is a different story. It does not match the outside: it is dark, gloomy, a bit dirty, definitely dated, and filled with furniture that is not in use in corners. There are a couple pool tables, a bar, a 21+ room with video poker, and even a cat inside. Are you even allowed to have animals in a restaurant?! He’s cute but still. Staff was super friendly and helpful, though! Good shrimp Poboy, too!

We live in Louisiana and decided to take a day trip to grand isle. We stopped at Tommy’s Bar and was instantly greeted by the friendliest bartender from Galliano. She made us some delicious margaritas and said to enjoy the beach. We will be back because of her. Thanks!

Food was not the best. Hamburger was overcooked and chicken tasted like it was cooked in old grease. Service was nice and courteous.

After waiting over 30 minutes for a bowl of gumbo i funally asked if my order was ready and she said i will check. I said ok and waited another 15 minutes for the gumbo. I was pretty hungry by now but i finally got my gumbo which was so bad i had to spit it out of my mouth immediately. It was so nasty i sent it back. Obviously the whole batch was bad in the kitchen so i dared order i different soup which was barely edible. Then after wanting to leave i had to track my server down (who was on her cell phone texting) to get my check. What a lovely experience

I don’t know how this place stays open. Sat at the bar for a good 15 mins, never got a Hi or once sec or nothing. Had to pretty much wave my hands to get a beer. Ordered food and the disappointment kept coming. Onion rings were the straws that get served on burgers. Fish was dry and skinny with more bread then fish. Waited for another 20 mins after I was done eating for any kind of service. Got none. No ” you ready for the check” or ” want another beer” nothing. Bartender was at the end of the bar messing around on her phone. Never once did I even get asked how was everything or do you need another beer. And it wasn’t busy. Maybe 3 or 4 people there. Waste of time. Go somewhere else. Guess the sign means nothing.
