Worse experience I have had at an Indian Restaurant. Zero preparation, no on site senior management just young staff trying to do their best. Drinks were not offered until nearly 45 mins after we arrived, food took nearly two hours to arrive and was served on cold plates, rice arrived 20 mins before the primary dish some dishes were served with raw meat (food standards offence and dangerous to people’s health). It was very clear the restaurant was very badly managed on this particular night I was not the only person complaining. The experience from start to finish was particularly unpleasant. I have seen many glowing reviews so I can only assume this was just one very bad night as there are many more good reviews than bad reviews.

Had a lovely experience at Joshan of Wye. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted freshly made with great attention to flavour. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staffs were friendly, polite, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. It’s the kind of place you leave feeling happy and satisfied – would happily return and recommend it to others.

Joshan of Wey serves tasty, expertly prepared food made with fresh ingredients and a lot of spices. The presentation is appealing, the portions are satisfying, and the food quality is outstanding. All things considered, it’s a fantastic location for delicious meals and enjoyable dining.

Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful village! Food was fresh and flavoursome but I’ve dropped a point due to a couple of the dishes not suiting my pallet.
Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Used to go here quite often years ago. Situated in the quaint and beautiful village of Wye. Just opposite the old church full of history. The village itself is well worth a visit. I was pleasantly surprised at how tastefully decorated it was since the last time I was there. I hoped the food would still be as good as before. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was even better than I remembered. Thursday lunch was very quiet so we had the restaurant to ourselves. This was great for us as we could catch up with our friends without disturbing people. As the venue is fairly small, if full, could probably become quite noisy. The service was exemplary. Attentive without being in your space. A lovely little gem of a restaurant and I will definitely be going again. One of the best naan breads around.

We went for our Nephews 21st birthday and were bitterly disappointed. It took over half an hour to get a drink and when the food finally arrived it was cold, some dishes had raw meat in. Mains were served 10 minutes before rice came out.
The worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to.

A superior quality restaurant. With a taste that is to die for . Bangladesh curry is the most rounded curry and the cuisine I look for when I want a curry . The staff are friendly if slightly shy . The restaurant is spotless clean and decorated tastefully. Its been my favourite meal in my trip to UK after 4 years I felt like crying with joy at the taste I missed the most . Thank you …
Ps back from Spain on Holiday again and the standards here have increased they listen to feed back and act on it to get better . The child’s meal was the weak point but now it is good , the chicken was moist and tasty. This place definitely deserves an award. The Biryani was authentic including a sealed crust which was served intact and on top like it would be originally. My lamb was to die for . Everything on the Table was delicious. See you next year. I miss the curry already

The food was overcooked flavourless but the real issue was the service—and more specifically, the manager. To say he was unprofessional would be an understatement. From the moment he approached our table, he seemed… off. His energy was strange, and I couldn’t help but notice he was acting a little jittery, like he was on something. After observing his erratic behavior, I started to wonder if there was more going on than just a bad mood.
Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. He began making very inappropriate comments toward my girlfriend, crossing the line from friendly small talk into overt flirting. She tried to laugh it off, but it was clear she was uncomfortable. He was leaning in too close, asking overly personal questions, and making comments that felt more like he was trying to impress her rather than providing any kind of professional service. It was honestly unnerving to watch, and she was visibly trying to keep her distance.
I don’t know what was going on behind the scenes, but his actions definitely raised some red flags. His behavior went from strange to uncomfortable to borderline creepy. This is not what you expect when you go out for a nice dinner. We were both ready to leave as soon as we could.
The food was disappointing, the service was shockingly bad, and the manager’s inappropriate flirting made the entire experience feel unsafe. I won’t be coming back to [Restaurant Name], and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values both a good meal and respectful service. There’s no excuse for behavior like this, and I hope they address it before it ruins their reputation further.

The food was OK though it was very spicy. The music was way too loud and when we asked them to turn it down, it was lowered only modestly. Others in the restaurant asked to be moved outside so we did as well. The service was overall good though they didn’t seem very happy that we were asking to be moved outside. Outside was lovely. You have a view of the old church across the street. I think the inside atmosphere set me off. It is dark with mirrors and neon everywhere. Still, I would have the food again, but definitely sit outside.
