Atmosphere was inviting, food was only okay, not worth the price. We had reservations for 4pm and were the first table seated. I called in advance to ensure my dairy allergy could be accommodated but when I arrived I was disappointed by the lack of options and it seemed none of the shellfish entrees were an option because they were already sauced. Despite my call in advance and alerting our waiter my bread came with cheese on top. When I informed the server about the allergy and asked if I could have an alternative he said “sure I can get you gluten free.” I explained gluten isn’t the issue but dairy. I waited some time and was eventually given a roll. There was a very long wait for our food (I believe 2 hours to entree which was surprising since we were the first table seated). For nondairy options the appetizers were quite restricted (and for dessert only the sorbet is nondairy) . Some of the Brussels sprouts heads when found were wonderful with a tangy sauce which complimented well the bitter burnt flavor but the majority of the plate was very dry, bland crispy loose leaves or unsauced. My tablemates enjoyed their calamari and octopus appetizers. The pork chop was a generous portion and cooked perfectly to order but the predominant flavor was simply salt. It was an okay meal but not worth the price point. I was disappointed at the lack of options for my dairy allergy, the wait times, and the flavors- nothing exciting here for this reviewer.

We have been here multiple times. The brunch is fantastic. This time we had dinner. Steak was cooked perfectly, pork chop also very good and good portions. I had the Mardi Gras pasta and asked for double crawfish (didn’t care about up charge) unfortunately it was not a hit. Definitely no extra crawfish (was not charged additional) I would skip this one if you have ever had real Cajun food. Drinks were great.

Great dinner date here! Had the salt & pepper calamari, lobster risotto, one of their special pastas of the night – orecchiette with short rib, and ended with a delicious dark chocolate cake. It was heavenly drinks were wonderful too! Had some winter gin cocktails. Alex was also a wonderful waiter, had great recommendations and was very kind! Beautiful large restaurant and decorated for the season. Hope to be back to try more soon.

Pleasant dining experience. The Pork chop was cooked perfectly and was the stand out dish for us. The rest of the dishes were fine but nothing else stood out .The dining room is bright and comfortable and the service was very good

My wife and I generally avoid restaurants on holidays. Always rushed, over crowded and mediocre food. We have season tickets to the Engemann Theater and were seeing Ring of Fire on Valentine’s Evening. We’ve always been happy at the Northport Hotel Restaurant, so we figured we’d give it a try and make reservations.
Let me tell you, this restaurant knocked it out of the park! Gracious, accommodating staff from the moment we walked in. No wait to be seated. An extraordinary, prix fixe menu with multiple gourmet selections. Our waiter was the quintessential host and NOTHING WAS RUSHED. The meal was out of this world and thank goodness we had them box up some leftovers, to save room for their fabulous desserts.
When the bill came, no surprises, no up charges, just the couple of glasses of wine we chose to compliment the meal.
We have NEVER been disappointed at this restaurant and even on this extremely busy evening we were well fed and treated as being very special.
WAY TO GO, Northport Hotel Restaurant.
BTW, the show at the theater, after dinner, was a winner too!

Situated  in the town of Northport, Long Island, this Restaurant offers a dining experience that blends sophistication and warmth. As you step inside,
the restaurant’s bar serves as a focal point, inviting guests to unwind and enjoy some amazing crafted cocktails before sitting down  for a  true five star dining experience . While seafood seems to take center stage, the kitchen demonstrates remarkable versatility with standout dishes like their classic Italian meatballs and delightful crispy Brussels sprouts.
The seafood stew emerges as the true star of my dining experience. It was difficult keeping my plate away from my friends at my table…lol. . It is a masterful creation  of shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, and lobster that captures the essence of coastal dining brimming with fresh catch, this   dish encapsulates the restaurant’s commitment to quality and flavor. This is certainly a dish that will bring me back often  and rightfully so. The roasted summer squash provides a delightful accompaniment, showcasing the kitchen’s skill in a vegetable preparation.
What truly elevates the dining experience is the excellent service. Michael was not only professional but also extremely knowledgeable of the menu.
. His  knowledge of the menu and genuine passion for hospitality shine through in every interaction.

I Highly recommend this fine establishment …5 stars…

John Engeman theater is right  across the street . Next time we will have dinner  and go across the street to see a show.

This is my go-to dining experience prior to a show at the John Engeman Theatre. The staff is always pleasant and the meal service is unrushed, allowing for a proper appreciation for each offered course. Highly recommended!

Beautiful decor, everyone was busy the day before the storm we ate at the bar, all bar staff was warm, friendly, and provided excellent well described menu choices. This was our first visit, I was most impressed with the whole environment, nothing stood out food wise, will have to return and delve deeper into their menu – be prepared… $100 for 2 salads, a split raviloi entree, and one beer…will return for a steak and try again!
