Yesterday after work, Jan 2026, my husband and I was starving. He suggested chik fil an and that’s when I remembered the BBQ truck across the street that we have been wanting to go to. We both ordered the brisket plate. Ended up paying $60 double what we would have if we just went to chik fila, and let me just tell you that we should have! It looked like they gave us a lot of meat but over half of it was fat smothered in bbq sauce, it was so chewy we couldn’t even eat it. I am so disappointed. We will not be going back and we will be sure to let everyone we know to stay away from here.

Just had an amazing experience at Clyde’s Southern Wood Fire BBQ! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. What really stood out was the service; the man who helped me was super nice and professional. He even opened up about ten minutes early so I could finally try it out after always passing by. So glad I stopped in today! It’s only 12:24 PM as I write this, and they opened at 12PM, which tells you a lot about their customer service . I’ll definitely be recommending Clyde’s to all my coworkers and friends. Thanks, Clyde’s, for a great meal!

We stopped in here because it always smelled good driving buy. We ordered the brisket and upon receiving it took home to eat. The “brisket “ was in fact chuck roast. Full of fat.not what we paid for. I’ve smoked and served brisket countless times. This was not as advertised. Will not be going back. Be aware. Or if you like BBQ chuck roast at brisket prices go for it. We just there Jan 2026

Clyde’s BBQ used to be really good, so I’m disappointed in how much it’s changed. I ordered the rib plate and wanted yams and greens as my sides, but the meal now requires potato salad and beans, with any other sides costing extra. On top of that, the BBQ sauce on the ribs has changed and isn’t as good as it used to be they should seriously consider switching back.

The greens were overwhelmingly soaked in vinegar, with no other flavor coming through, and the ribs themselves had more fat than meat. My friend actually took their food back because their sandwich had so much fat and barely any meat at all. By the time I added extra sides, my rib plate came out to nearly $50, which just isn’t worth it for the quality we received. The customer service was ok.

I ordered rib tips but they were out so they offered ribs which was fine. However the ribs tasted like they were boiled not grilled. Clyde wasn’t there and the grill wasn’t fired up. Not cool and not the taste I was expecting after going there for several years. Costly disappointment.

My Daughter and I, been meaning to eat here for a while. We finally got to stop by and Let me tell you, 10/10.
When I say I want to eat ribs, this is exactly what I’m talking about. My daughter said to me. I can’t believe we’ve been missing out on this . She even called them, to tell them how amazing it was. The ribs were incredibly juicy and well seasoned, BBQ sauce was flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice, cornbread was moist and buttery, and macaroni and cheese was cheesy warm and peppery. Absolutely delicious!
Definitely coming back to order some more and try the rest of their food . The lady was super kind and helpful and the rest of the staff super friendly Highly recommended

I ordered the rib plate with mac and cheese potato salad and greens with cornbread. The mac and cheese was mushy. The cashier wasn’t too friendly when I ordered she said the rib plate was a dollar extra and I simply said it’s okay I’m not worried about the price and her reaction was well I’m just letting you know. Also, when I tried to order the candy yams, she said I don’t have any more yams. We all out.

As a former Southerner..THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS BBQ truck! Lawd Jesus I was not expecting BBQ this dang good here in Western Washington. Living in Mobile, AL, this place is right in line with Saucy Q’s, Moe’s, Brick Pit, and J. Rodgers. They definitely put their foot in it as you can taste the love they have for QUALITY BBQ. I got the $20 2-meat special (pulled pork and brisket) with potato salad, and cornbread and also ordered additonal sides of okra and peach cobbler. This will make 2..or even 3 meals for one person if you eat smaller portions. So the food taste review…

The brisket was a good as you get. Great smoke flavor and as tender as you could ask..BUT the best part is there was a minimal amount of fat and the slices were varied from thick to thin. The pulled pork was mostly all meat and also minimal amount of fat.. AND more good news was that it didn’t have those burnt end pieces that always ruins pulled pork when you taste that inedible piece of pork. Clyde’s has done justice to pulled pork.

The baked beans are pretty much Bush’s Baked beans which is A-ok with me THe cornbread had a Jiffy corn muffin mix texture but was a lot more geared in taste towards older recipes of cornbread cooked in cast iron pans.

The fried okra used a lemon fish fry batter similar to Zatarains or Louisiana brand fish fry…something I happen to love.

The potato salad was mustard based but not that overbearing on celery, so it works.

And the peach cobbler was among the best I have had in years.

I ordered the rib tips, home fries, and hot links. My food was hot and very good. I love the smoke flavor in the ribs. One of the things I look for when trying a new BBQ place is can I smell the smoke from a block away. And Clyde’s delivered. I will be returning!

Wish I could give zero stars. The last time I grabbed some food from here was in summer of 2020 and today I see that lady at the front taking orders still has a HORRIBLE attitude. Not welcoming at all. She got my order wrong even tho I had her repeat it twice. I left a tip and was disappointed when I got to my car and saw my order was wrong. The man actually doing the barbecuing is great. They should really replace her or have someone else as the face of the establishment.
