We took a day trip from Rhode Island just to eat here, and wow — it was so worth it! My friends and I were seriously impressed. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the drinks plus all the little details were so cute and thoughtfully done.
The owner is such a sweetheart — she even gave me some great tips for my upcoming trip to Romania this year, which made the experience feel extra special and personal. We had the best time and will 100% be coming back for more papanși! Highly recommend!

Overall: medium/good. People looking to go here should know that they give free drinks for reviews. We did like the main entrees Goulash and Hungarian Paprikash (Chicken Spaetzle) as they were cooked well, tender, and with flavorful sauce but the Paprikash was room temperature at best. Service was excellent and the ambience was good cutely decorated for Valentines Day. Cocktails were good (Midnight attack and Peach Burbon Smash). Appetizer of Caseaval cheese was like a glorified Motzerella stick and donut dessert (though nice presentation- on fire) was quite underwhelming. Very unique dining experience.

Our first visit after seeing it all over Facebook. It is decorated wonderfully as Halloween/Christmas inside and outside. The owner and staff are very friendly and service was great. I started with a delicious black cherry margarita and my son had a strawberry lemonade. We shared some BBQ wings as our appetizer. Zak had a HUGE Romanian Burger and fries. I had the Romanian stew which was delicious. Of course for dessert we had to order the Vlad the impaler flaming jelly donuts.

My husband and I went to Transylvania Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we got there it was a great time. The decor and atmosphere were fun and inviting. The staff were friendly and engaging. The food and drinks were delicious with gluten free options. We were told from the beginning that it may take longer than usual for our food since everything is freshly made. It was well worth the few extra minutes. The staff was attentive and checked in with us appropriately. We had the stuffed mushrooms, beef brisket, Hungarian stew and papnasi with an old fashioned and Dracula blood punch. Amazing!! We will be back.

10 out of 10 recommend, The dessert is fire one of a kind absolutely love. The drinks are pretty amazing on the sweet side if you have sweet tooth. We all had the Romanian burgers they had this giant cheese fried cheese on it that was absolutely delicious. everything is homemade except for the onion rings, Even the pickles which you must try because they’re absolutely mouth watering. The decor is throughout the whole place even in the bathrooms. Don’t leave without grabbing a souvenir.

Drove from Boston just to come here, we heard a lot of good things about this place and it did not disappoint!
Food was delicious, Elisa was our server and she was great even though the place was insanely busy .
Everyone was working hard, one of those people being the owner! Always a good sign.
We came back the next day for brunch! If you show up in your PJS the first round’s on them!
We’ll definitely be back, just wish we had this closer to Boston❤️

Hidden gem in a seasonal disguise! We went because we are Halloween buffs but found the food to be the best part. Everything made by hand (except the onion rings) we were told so we decided to start with the Romanian Meatballs as an appetizer and wished we could of made a meal of just those, they were served with 1000 Island dressing and kraut which only enhanced the flavor because they were amazing alone! We then decided to try outside our comfort food zone and had Weiner Snitchzel and Stuffed Cabbage-absolutely amazing the flavors so bold and delicious-we both had Black Cherry margaritas (OMG) to pair with our entrees. Dessert-well we had to make room and glad we did because if you dont get Vlad the Impaler-you would be missing out!! Great server, she was super attentive and the owner was on site asking how everything was so we got to tell her in person. We made a reservation but they got us in sooner but if you do go during Halloween season I would advise it. Merch and props so much fun, they have it all. Highly recommended by 2 normal HALLOWEEN enthusiasts who stumbled on the best authentic Romanian food and left happier then we arrived !

As someone who loves Halloween, this place is amazing when it comes to the vibe and decor I ordered the Black Cherry Margarita to start which I would order again. It tasted refreshing and wasn’t overly sweet. I was concerned about it either being straight sugar or tasting like a Black Cherry White Claw, synthic (which I can’t stand). TBH, it didn’t taste or smell like tequila which in my opinion made it dangerously good because I had a buzz off the one. Highly recommend! We ordered the meatballs, brussel sprouts, and the brisket as our main course to share all 3. We would order all 3 again. My husband and I believe that the price of your food should reflect the quality and quantity of the food and judge places on our experience with the service and interaction with the staff as well. We both agree that this is a 10 out of 10 in all aspects and wish we felt the same way about more restaurants. We spoke to several staff members besides our server and everyone was so sweet and accommodating since we had our 1 year old eating with us. Even if you’re like my husband and could care less about the atmosphere, their food and drinks are a win if you’re looking for a great meal!
