Chef Edwin was excellent. Every course was absolutely delicious, and no one left even remotely hungry. He’s incredibly warm and friendly, which made the entire evening feel relaxed and special. It truly created the perfect atmosphere for a fantastic night. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are huge sushi lovers, but we usually find omakase to be a bit too unreliable – we often end up with dishes we don’t like or leave the restaurant still feeling hungry. This spot was a total game changer. Everything was simple yet had its own twist of flavor, focusing on incredible nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and standout miso cod and custard. There wasn’t a single course I didn’t like and it was built around Tuna, Toro, Yellowtail and Salmon with a few extra types of fish like Sea Bream, Mackerel and Lobster. The fish quality is 10/10 and far better than anywhere else in the area. There were tons of courses, and Edwin even cut a bunch of extra nigiri for us, so we definitely left full. The atmosphere is super intimate with only 8 people, which made it really fun to get to know everyone sitting around us. Big shoutout to Edwin for being awesome and making the night even better. Also, it’s BYOB which is a huge plus! We’ll definitely be back.

What a phenomenal omakase experience. A quaint little spot with a calm, intimate vibe that instantly sets the tone for a great meal.

The fish quality was truly outstanding: incredibly fresh, clean, and perfectly prepared. Every piece tasted like it was chosen with care, and the progression of the omakase was paced beautifully.

What really stood out was how creative the menu was without ever feeling “too experimental.” There were some genuinely interesting takes on new dishes that worked so well, especially the salmon with shaved Brussels sprouts. It sounds unexpected, but it’s both delicious and surprisingly balanced, adding texture and a bright, fresh bite that elevates the salmon.

The service was exceptional. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely warm throughout the entire experience. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the guest experience.

If you’re looking for an omakase that combines top-tier fish, inventive dishes, and high-quality hospitality in a charming setting, this place is an absolute must. I’ll be back.

From affordability to quality to the incredibly personal experience with the chef, everything was outstanding. We had somewhere between 18-23 pieces, and we genuinely loved about 95% of them. Chef Edwin was phenomenal–funny, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. He clearly takes pride in his craft, and we learned so much throughout the meal, which made the experience even more special.

We were so impressed that we booked another reservation on the spot for Valentine’s Day just a couple of weeks later. Worth every single penny–and compared to other omakase spots in the area, very reasonably priced. Truly exceptional.

Chef Edwin brings his customer focused friendly service and extraordinary food to Westport.

The cozy ten seat restaurant is your home for nearly two hours as you are presented with what seems like an endless offering of miniature gastronomic “jewels” prepared one at a time, in front of you, for you.

This is not overly fancy, overly clever sushi. This is the freshest, highest quality fish, prepared elegantly, simply, with sauces and garnishes to enhance the taste and texture of each individual course.

If you decide to try Omakase Westport I believe you will experience something special – unique in today’s restaurant offerings. Food that is made with care and love, and served in a friendly, unpretentious environment.

Note: The restaurant does not have a liquor license. Feel free to BYOB, but you might be just as satisfied with some sparkling water.
