I usually come here for sandwiches, however this time I came for the quick dinners. Lucca’s has a few refrigerators full of different dishes. I bought the meat ravioli, lasagna, tortellini, etc The meat ravioli was delicious enough for two and it heats up within minutes. The prices are affordable and it great for folks that don’t want to cook.

Very nice old school deli. Take-a-number style service so you spend a little time waiting, which I was expecting. Staff were very friendly and the vibe was good. Had mortadella on dutch crunch which did not disappoint. 1 sandwich and 2 small bags of ships were enough for two of us. Also got some Italian jelly cookies for the win.

I’m not normally a sandwich guy, but really great local deli!! I bought a sandwich at 9 am for a day hike and it was delicious. Super neat as it acts as a small store as well. They offer lots of Italian to go foods beyond sandwiches too…

Having a family day next-door in the playground we’ve stopped at Luccas Italian Delicatessen in Castro Valley and was very impressed with the quality of their sandwiches, variety of the pre-cooked dinners, salads, and desserts (cookies of all types). The selection of all types of bread was fresh and the ingredients were just out of this world. now, as usual, at the decent place you really have to wait so during the lunchtime here you need to take the number, and make sure you do that, and then wait to be called. You will get an individual sandwich cooking service, meanwhile pick your battle off the board above. The staff was fun & friendly. The cafe is relatively big and has about 8 to 10 dining tables. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I will definitely be returning to Luccas Italian Delicatesse for more delicious sandwiches and other goodies in the future.

The pastrami is good! They some assortment of sodas with your sandwiches and chips, the parking is kinda hard, you might get lucky and find a spot in front of the shop, but plan on driving up and down the street to find a spot, overall the place is good.

My favorite Italian sandwich place in the East Bay. They get busy at times, but it’s worth it. The food is good and they are consistent. Parking is easy on the side streets, but very limited in the front. There is a lot in the back too if needed.

Luccas is a fantastic sandwich spot. Everything is freshly cut and made carefully to ensure greatness. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area of Castro Valley and are looking for a good sandwich once you come here you’ll never go to another place for sandwiches.

Slow service. Tables are not cleaned. Ordered a pastrami Sandwich. Taste was good. But nothing special. Overall good but prices are on the upper end.
