Loved this place. I went to Roaster or whatever and sat in there for a good 5-8 mins without a hi or we’ll be right with ya. So I felt I was more of a burden than wanted.. I walked out and looked around as there are a couple little breakfast/coffee spots right there now and I chose Cafe LaNae and I couldn’t be happier! I walked in and was immediately greeted. “Hello! I’ll be with you shortly, our menu is on the board but if you would rather we have to go menus on the bar” Yes!!- they wanted me there and was ready to help me as soon as they could! I took a menu and decided what I wanted. The lady that helped me as gave me suggestions and even a sample!!! I got the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. Half order of biscuits and gravy and 2 coffees for my husband and I. It was all fantasic!!!!! I couldn’t speak more highly of this cafe. It’s what we would want as a local little cafe!

Seat yourself and order at the counter or order and then find a seat. I enjoyed the Boursin croissant and the peanut butter pie very much. My family all had parfaits. Service was extremely friendly. Can’t wait to try other goodies like the individual charcuterie boxes. I wish I had taken a picture of the croissant before I ate it but it smelled delicious and I didn’t wait long to dig in. Plenty of parking on the side of the building. Place just now opened so maybe type in the address since the GPS didn’t locate it yet.

This place was such a pleasent surprise. The food is fantastic. We went for breakfast, and the menu wasn’t huge, but that just means they can focus on certain items, and make them perfect. And that’s what they did. The B&G were excellent, as was the baklava. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their food. The staff were the friendliest. And the place itself was homey. Don’t take that as a put down, it’s meant to be the highest compliment. I would like to go back for lunch, as their lunch selections look pretty legit, too. Give this small business a shot.

So delicious! We went for lunch. Had an Italian sandwich, a turkey club, tater tots, and loaded potato soup. Everything was fantastic! We got the house cookies and chocolate mouse pie to go. The cookies were literally the best cookies I’ve tasted in a long time! The chocolate mouse was rich and delicious. The staff were super friendly. This will be our go-to for breakfast and lunch moving forward. Highly recommend!

A great place for breakfast in downtown Wood River. Me and a buddy both had a breakfast sandwich, very tasty. Ham,fluffy eggs and cheese on a great bread! And quiet enough that you could could carry on a conversation. Very friendly staff!!
