We sat on the terrace, which had a wonderful atmosphere and authentic Italian vibe.
I will definitely come back and highly recommend it.
Lovely atmosphere, seating is a little tight but there’s enough room to feel comfortable and the outside area is coved and feels secure. Would definitely recommend.
I recently had an excellent dining experience that deserves praise. The pasta was outstanding, especially the carbonara—perfectly al dente with a rich, velvety sauce that struck the ideal balance between creamy and savory. Every bite felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared.
The appetizers were just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each dish complemented the next and set the stage for the meal perfectly.
A special shout-out goes to our server, Peppe. His warm personality, attentiveness, and genuine passion for good food made the evening even better. Peppe offered great recommendations and made us feel truly welcome.
The only thing I didn’t like was how jacked the tables were. It is very crowded. Also a bit pricy.
The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make the whole experience even better. A must-visit spot if you want to taste real Roman cuisine!
The so-called fresh pasta was chewy, not al dente — and there is a clear difference between the two. On top of that, the ciabatelli pasta we specifically requested was not provided. When we pointed this out, it was met with indifference.
What really left a bad impression was the attitude toward feedback. There was a strong sense of entitlement, as if complaints simply didn’t matter. That lack of care overshadows everything else.
I was seated on the terrace this time, so I didn’t get the chance to see the interior or fully experience the ambiance inside. That said, the food more than made up for it. I absolutely loved my pasta — I believe it was a gricia — rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The fiore di zucca was also excellent and a real highlight.
The waiters were very “Italian” — lively and straightforward — but honestly, two thumbs up for the service. Efficient, authentic, and part of the charm. Overall, another great experience at Osteria da Fortunata.
