Carmella’s is the only place I have to make sure I eat at when I’m in the area. Great food, very friendly staff who seem to know everyone who comes in. I love the atmosphere here.
Delivery can take a while because you don’t rush quality and the traffic on the island can be atrocious so plan ahead. Recommend picking it up yourself or just eating there.

Expensive, slow, poor quality. Stopped in lunchtime on a Saturday. Spent ~$40 for 2 Italian grinders, a chef salad ($10.50 for the salad alone), 2 sodas, 2 chips. The chef salad had lettuce “pieces” torn it looked like (not cut by a knife) & some pieces -like in my photo posted here- were the size of my hand, no joke. There was turkey and ham lunch meat (low-grade, salty) sliced in thin strips along with the worst I’ve ever tasted processed white cheese (sliced in thin strips as well). I love American cheese but this was some pretty low-grade stuff. The bathrooms dirty, ceiling tiles stained throughout. The cashier was very pleasant, though so I think it’s a matter of them getting their food up to par and re-looking at what they charge for it. Could not believe that cost us over $40.

Awesome local pizza and pasta. The angel hair spaghetti with homemade meatballs was delicious. Decent sized meatballs packed with flavor. Homemade sauce was just right.
Second time here, the pizza options are plentiful.

I ordered a medium pizza with sausage and banana peppers. It took my order over an hour to be delivered just over a half a mile. When I opened the pizza box I had the wrong peppers on the pizza. They put on green peppers instead of banana peppers like I ordered. The only good part was the delivery driver was very courteous and apologized about the delay. Never again!!!

This place has amazing pizza for many, many years! I highly recommend the white pizzas such as Buffalo chicken, rosemary chicken, steak bomb etc. they use garlic oil instead of red sauce. The crust is magnificent. It’s worth driving there from far away because there is no good pizza places anywhere near New Bedford-Fall river area. Anytime I get to go here I am very excited and have a hard time deciding what to get and then I am even more excited when I sink my teeth in.

We enjoyed our sandwiches very much, next time we’re in town we’ll get pizza! This is a great place to call ahead, the dining area is limited. Also if you wait until you’re hungry to come in and order (like we did), you’ll be starving by the time you get your food! Busy place! That’s a good thing!

We decided to eat on location so delivery may differ. The service was on par for a pizzeria but nothing spectacular. They served my appetizer first like I asked but the cook put our pizza in boxes because he thought our pizzas were take out so we had to ask about our pizza to get it. It was still hot and fresh though. Our BBQ tenders were drowning in sauce so they could ease up on the sauce but they were still good. The toppings looked fresh and the pizza bread itself was absolutely delicious. In summary, spectacular pizza at reasonable prices and standard service.

Love this place!! Best pizza we have had in Newport. The crust on the medium pizza is better than the larges. Best wings I’ve had in Newport. Good calzone. Delivery is a little slow so make sure to order for pick up. Can eat inside if you want, order at the counter, only bottled drinks.
