The menu is fantastic, with absolutely delicious hoagies and sandwiches – fresh and packed with flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the drink selection is great. Whether you’re stopping in for happy hour or looking for a fun night out, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Pudges Pub, in the old Max’s Seafood Café building, has that classic East Coast city vibe without needing to fight Philly or New York traffic—or deal with any of the nonsense happening in those cities lately. It’s the kind of spot that feels real, comfortable, and lived-in from the moment you walk through the door.
We stopped in on a Wednesday night and the place was packed in the best way. Great energy, great crowd, and a staff that kept everything moving smoothly.
The raw oysters were excellent—fresh, cold, and full of that clean ocean flavor. I also ordered a cheesesteak. It had plenty of meat and tasted good, but the cheese (I went with whiz) was more of a small topping instead of being mixed throughout the meat. Still enjoyable, just not the standout of the night.
Overall, Pudges Pub is absolutely going into my regular rotation. Solid food, great atmosphere, and a genuine neighborhood feel that’s getting harder to find these days.
Worth a visit for sure.

If you’re not trying this place, you’re missing out. This is NOT just another cheesesteak place. I was there with a party of three and we all agreed that it was the best cheesesteak we’ve ever had. The wings were excellent, up there with some of the best we’ve ever had and we ordered the house, made chips and they were excellent. The menu is diverse with homemade soups, salads, entrées and even a few of the old Max’s items. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was comfortable and there was a local talent, Sara James, playing guitar and singing. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back to try some other menu items.

WOW! Talk about a hidden gem. Our first visit for happy hour turned into a full night of great food drinks and making new friends. The owners really took an interest in our opinions and recommended some really great food. We had salt water taffy oysters with homemade sauces, Italian chicken soup, Kielbasa potato soup and a phenomenal cheese steak. Everything was amazing and the bartender made us some great cocktails at their super cool historic bar. All the patrons were treated exceptionally and place had great vibes. Excited to go back. Love the family dedication to this business and experience. Can’t say enough great things. A+++++

Went last night for the first time. The ambiance, service, and food were excellent. I had the mussels in white sauce. Delicious! I hear they are known for their cheesesteaks. I plan going back soon to try.
