This is no longer a free standing restaurant. It is located inside Turkey Mountain Feed & General Store (since Feb 2025 and as of this review in July 2025). There are two picnic tables outside for eating at. The staff is very kind and helpful. The tacos were very good (we tried carne asada, pollo, barbacoa, and al pastor). They come with grilled pineapple (which was fabulous), grilled onion, raw white onion, cilantro, lime, green sauce, red sauce and charro beans. We paid $20 for 8 tacos and it was a lot of food. I am happy for the price for the proportions. Not the best tacos I’ve had but very very good. I would come back if we were close by (I just maybe wouldn’t drive the 40 min we did tonight).

Best tacos I’ve had in DFW. I try every street taco place possible & this one is a gem. They give you the cup of beans as well. Highly recommend to support them. The other day I went and Whataburger next door had a line around the door. Such a crime as this place is 100000000x better and cheaper and the cooks and are very nice and care for their customers. Killer flavor, customer friendliness, and cooking skills.

Since moving here to Springtown Texas I’ve missed my taco shop in Shreveport Louisiana and have been searching for one here.
I can’t tell you how many times I passed this pace going to Walmart and didn’t notice it.
They have a small section of meats to choose from but don’t let that stop you. All I can say is wow the food is great and the people are very nice.

These are the best tacos that I have had anywhere. I had the pastor tacos, the meat has a nice crunch in the outside from the flat top and is succulent and juicy on the inside. The grilled pineapple in the taco topping boat is amazing on the pastor tacos! Can’t wait to come back here again and try the asada or chichirron tacos

I have lived here in Texas and in Vegas and trust me when I say that half my diet is tacos orMexican, latino, tejano etc of some kind. Looks like they just moved in. Small little dining area and a concise menu. I got the 4 tacos and it came with beans and all the fixings. I’m glad I did. Al pastor and barbacoa. The barbacoa was good but it’s not my favorite in general but they did a good job making it. The al pastor was in the top 10 I’ve ever had. Excellent! The Charro beans are by far some of the best I’ve ever been served. The tomatillo salsa is great as well and the rojo is spicy. I’ll be back for sure to try more

Gave us all of our stuff with perfect accuracy. ME MYSELF I am a big resteraunt person as well as critic. Being a very commendable server and former resteraunt employee, customer service and quailty are top tier concerns. TaQueria Melendez absolutely blew the competitors off the map !!!
