Went here for the first time on Halloween night. The atmosphere was great and we had a blast! It was super busy so the bar service took a bit, to be expected, but the security in the back took his job too serious! Didn’t stop us from having fun though. Especially when you dont have to pay for drinks all night

We sat out back and had the deviled eggs, buffalo mac & cheese cigars. Food and bartender were amazing!!! Outside could use a little more cozy vibes.

Definitely won’t be coming back to the kangaroo again. I came and made a friend and the guy behind the bar completely ignored me. I sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes and it was only one couple in there that he was talking to and did not acknowledge me for 15 minutes when I finally said something he got angry and told me that he was talking. Lol I couldn’t believe what he had told me so me and my friend left and went to a different bar because they were so rude in there.
Do not recommend anyone going here at all

Went for the first time this weekend. Was a pretty cool place but crawling with huge bouncers. Typically not a big deal but felt like they were preparing for hell to break loose. It must become a rougher place as the night progresses but it was a cool bar while we were there at 10pm.

I visited this bar during a Halloween bar crawl, and while the atmosphere was lively and full of energy, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. The place was packed, so I understand that service can get slower during events — but even though we were seated right at the bar, it still took a while to be noticed.
The event page had mentioned special drink prices, which we were looking forward to. However, we had to ask about them, and the staff told us there were no specials available. I’m not sure if that miscommunication was on the event organizers or the bar itself, but it definitely caused some disappointment.
They did have line dancing, which added a fun touch, but the space was very limited, making it hard to fully enjoy. During one of the dances, I ended up hopping on my husband’s foot in my high-heeled boots — not exactly the highlight of the night!
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just not one that stood out enough to make me want to drive 35 minutes to return. It might be a better spot for locals who come often, but for me, it didn’t offer that memorable spark that makes a place worth the trip.

Me and a few friends came it enjoy some drinks and some dancing after a few hours it got really busy I was out on the dance floor where a random person came up to me and told to me stop dancing with his girlfriend and shoved me to the ground where after the security guards come up from behind and choke me dragging me out the the bar and throwing me out this was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary a simple you need to leave would of gone a long way. The person who shoved me didn’t get thrown out I woke up the next two days with a sore neck. me and my friends spent well over $250 dollars and where planing to keep buying drinks until this happened

We came here for my best friends birthday. The bar is cool and the bartenders were sweet and attentive. They advertise as a “country bar” but I beg to differ. I have been here many times and this isn’t my first problem but it is my first time being kicked out . We came in and started stayed for over an hour and a half, spending over $100. Randomly, while waiting in line for the bathroom, I was approached by a security guy. He said I have to leave at this moment because I had Crocs on. Never had this issue before and totally thought he was joking. He got VERY rude, very fast and didn’t “have time for me”. It just got worse from there. I went and asked another security guard, partially because I still couldn’t tell if this was a joke and partly because this guy was sooo very rude. Turns out, you can’t wear Crocs here. As of right now, this is not posted anywhere. People wear in heals, flip flops, slides, boots, etc. I asked why and all they kept saying was “it’s policy and you have to go”. I asked to use the ladies room, as I was already in line, and he said no without even looking at me. I like this bar but this is not the first time security has seemed to be more of a conflict than a protection or a person who can communicate while putting your ego aside. I sadly will not be back which sucks but it takes me an hour to get there and isn’t worth the risk anymore. Goodluck to yall and your ever-changing rules.
Response to owner: I understand “tightening up” on dress code but to allow so many other types of shoes, heels etc, and to bar Crocs is just silly (yes my opinion). I saw on someone else’s post that you will be updating the dress code to say this but when its a new rule, maybe inform all your bouncers so we aren’t allowed in to spend money and then have to sit outside sobering up because I didnt expect to have to leave.

What a joke. The guy at the front clearly thinks he’s guarding heaven’s gates instead of a run-down nightclub. Rude for no reason, judging people by how they look, and acting like it’s some exclusive spot — please. I’ve never seen such unprofessional, trashy behavior at the door. Total embarrassment of a place.

The Kangaroo is such a great place to unwind and have a great time line dancing. We recently asked them if we could celebrate my wife’s birthday during one of the line dancing lesson nights and they made it such a great party! All the bartenders are awesome! Shout out to Dillon for awesome drinks and Jessie for running an awesome bar!!! Go to The Roo one time and you will become a regular. It’s that much fun!!!
