Reviews
I went with the premium menu, which is $37, because beef is not really available in the cheaper option. The banchan were the only items I genuinely enjoyed. They were fresh and nicely prepared.
Unfortunately, the appetizers were very disappointing. I ordered the kimchi pancake, which tasted microwave burned and poorly prepared. I also ordered tteokbokki, and it came in a very watery sauce with no flavor. It was honestly the worst rice cake dish I have ever had.
The experience went further downhill once the meat arrived. For a premium menu at this price point, the beef quality was extremely poor. The spicy bulgogi and regular bulgogi were some of the toughest meats I have ever had, not chewable and basically inedible. The so called steak was also very low quality and did not feel like steak at all, more like random cuts of meat. We were only able to eat one or two items from the entire meat selection.
The service was also very bad. There was almost no staff available to take orders or help with grilling. One young server was the only person we could order from, and he kept disappearing to the restroom every 15 minutes. We had to wait for him to come back just to place orders, which felt very unprofessional and frustrating.
Even though I really liked the interior, I would not go back. For $37, the food quality and service were not worth it at all. I have been to other all you can eat Korean BBQ places for around $30 with much better meat quality and service. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for good quality food.
Service and atmosphere:
Customer service falls into the ‘however’ category.
Unfortunately, none of the staff members were helpful. They were not attentive unless asked for assistance. The menu selection wasn’t clear nor explained at the time when we were seated. Also, friendly chat or smile would go a long way.
The restaurant itself looks cool inside.
Food:
The food was good. The menu offers big selection of pork items. Less on the beef side.
Pricing:
$$ – typical all you can eat price ranges ($30-40 pp)
Our server Long was awesome. He was friendly, patient, and very attentive. He helped us cook the meat, checked on us often, and made sure everything was done right without making us feel rushed. He really made the whole experience better.
Good food, good vibes, and great service. Definitely coming back again.
Sincerely, Grandma Lan
We also tried raspberry wine for the first time, and it was amazingly delicious — definitely a highlight of the meal!
The servers were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-kept. There’s plenty of parking available, although it can fill up quickly during peak hours, so be prepared for a short walk if it’s busy.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Honey Pig if you’re craving quality Korean BBQ and a welcoming dining experience!
