Pretty solid for resort food. As someone previously mentioned, not a lot of gluten free options. But the soup is GF without the pasta and soup was what I was craving. The bf got pizza. We’re all happy.

We no longer live in Wintergreen but continue to come here for the wonderful pizza and meatballs. The crust is delicious, light but not hard, not too chewy; I think it is cooked to perfection with a great taste from the wood fire. We have tried all of the pizza flavors and enjoy each one. I find the atmosphere relaxing when sitting out on the porch or up on the hill in spring/summer/fall, and cozy when sitting inside during the winter. While they may run out of items during the heavy traffic seasons, it may be a disappointment, but it is understandable, given that it must be difficult to prepare the exact amount of food/dough needed, while keeping it fresh and delicious. It is definitely worth a return trip.

The pastries were delicious! If I am in the area again, I will definitely stop in. My friend and I split 4 pastries. I am sure the pizza and cookies are just as good! Absolutely a gem! Wintergreen is lucky to have them. You can get some coffee, drinks, great pastries and PIZZA. Everyone sees the pizza oven, but did you know the owner built it?!? That’s passion for pizza. The pastries are another level to understanding the science behind baking. It’s not boxed cake mix it’s crafted baking. You really should take the time to support and enjoy this spot you won’t regret it. Also understand they make pizza from dough that takes DAYS to make. It’s not a frozen premade pizza for days you don’t want to cook, it’s an expert level crafted dough with understanding and knowledge of the ingredients. You can’t just throw some flour oil and water together and make more dough, when it’s gone it’s gone. So don’t forget to get in early so you don’t miss the best pizza on the mountain and likely in a 100 mile or more radius. Grab some coffee and pastries while you wait for lunch time to order the pizza. Where else but F&F!

Fire and Frost is absolutely a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, the inviting atmosphere is sweet and cozy. The pizzas are simply divine, with a perfect balance of flavors and a crust that is both crispy and delightfully chewy. After a day of skiing before hitting the road again, I decided to look up pizza near me, and this hidden gem did not disappoint. I’m a basic pizza person, so I got the pepperoni pizza, but it was a very well made Neapolitan, with the essence of a wood fired oven. Stopped in for lunch with my wife and kids, none of us were disappointed.
The staff was friendly, tables and facilities kept clean, and wide variety for everyone.
The quality of food seemed to be commensurate with the price.
We will definitely be returning and recommend anyone spending time at Wintergreen to give it a shot.
One note – the seating indoors is limited and semi close. Depending on time of year, there is an outdoor seating option adjacent but privately owned so that may not always be available.

It’s very obvious the owners have put their heart and soul into this experience. Food and drinks are all fantastic. Love the cinnamon bun latte!!!! Breakfast pizza is delicious.
Also tried their specialty white mocha toffee latte with infused sea salt flakes… Out of this world!
Last but not least… They absolutely do not play it safe with their pizza, and I mean this in the best way possible. You may not find your traditional New York-style pie here, but what you will find is an entire home run selection of a medley of unique and incredible flavor combinations. They blow it out of the park with their carefully crafted and meticulously designed pies, leaving you savoring each and every bite. Pictured here are the “Sausage Agrodolce” and the “Green Thumb” (the most unique selection on their menu).
I venture to Wintergreen time and time again for the timeless atmosphere and relaxation that can’t be found anywhere else in the Mid-Atlantic. Finally we have a place to eat that matches what Wintergreen is all about, step for step.
