We also enjoyed the Peking Duck, beef with scallions, pea leaves sautéed with garlic. It’s always the same waiter when we go and he’s very nice as well. When you order the duck they offer you a complimentary soup prepared with the bones. It was so tasty! Especially in a cold winter afternoon.
The waiter is very attentive and comes by often and clears our table and offers clean plates. I definitely recommend coming here! We keep returning because it’s so delicious and the prices are so reasonable.
Wow, the flavors were delicious! It’s definitely more authentic than the “normal” Chinese fast food places and very reasonably priced as well. I was expecting my fish to have a thick breading swimming in a goey sauce, but it was lightly breaded fillets with dry sauteed onions and fragrant cumin which is what I much prefer! My only gripe is the portions are small. Especially since it tasted so good, I wanted more.
Will definitely be returning…
Update: Subsequently returned for dine in… loved every dish. This is definitely authentic Chinese food, so thrilled theres a decent real chinese restaurant in this area. We had their in house handmade lamb dumplings, lamb noodle soup, scallion pancakes, okra (so healthy!) hot and sour soup, sweet and sour fish, & peking duck. The soup had a hint of too much sugar, but other than that, every dish was excellent. The waiter/cashier/host is a one man show, which is tough since he was also answering calls, amongst all his other responsibilities! He really is amazing.
Spoke with chef and was informed they were out of fish and substituted this. I’m surprised they did not ask us if it’s acceptable.
The cauliflower heated on pan was okay. The shredded potatoes was a bit better. Food is okay but I think service is mixed.
Venue is decent and clean.
Chicken was almost burned and tasted awful, barely any sauce on either chicken dishes. No flavor, very dry.
Sesame chicken was done with sweet and sour sauce. Noodles were bland and no flavor. And dumplings were just okay.
Won’t return , wanted to call and complaint but decided was not even worth it. Bad experience and disappointed
garlic eggplant with garlic sauce.
Must-try: garlic eggplant with garlic sauce 鱼香茄子
Recommendation: Peking duck 北京烤鸭
The garlic eggplant with garlic sauce reminds me of my secondary school cafeteria. So far my favorite in NY. Note that it is very hot when it comes to table. My friends like the Peking duck here. My recommendation is to order soup for the bones instead of pepper salt bites. The other dishes are average. We ordered dry sauteed string beans, shredded pork In sweet bean sauce, and Huoshao before, there dishes are average.
Parking: They have their private parking lot.
