Yesterday we stopped by here for an early dinner after reading about Si Papa on Yelp. If you are looking for a very comfortable, nicely decorated, small, casual, friendly bar restaurant with excellent service in Coconut Grove, then this is your place! If you are stressed out and don’t want to read a long menu and then make decisions on what to eat, then this is your place. They serve only 2 main dishes: meat lasagna and vegan lasagna. That’s it for main courses. Dessert is Tiramisu. Their bar has a good variety of wines. It was too early for us so we passed. Very simple and easy. I love this concept!

They are located on Commodore Ave to the right of Lokal restaurant. I didn’t see a sign so we just looked for the 3190 sign and walked on in. We were nicely greeted by the host and got the best seats at the bar. They were very comfortable high stools.

My daughter and I wanted to try both lasagnas so we each ordered one of each and then split them. We are not vegan but we are open-minded about trying new foods. Our servers were Omar and Matteo, who were friendly, quick, and helpful. We were seated quickly and served quickly. We were given a complimentary glass of delicious green olives while we decided what to order. We both loved the meat lasagna but thought the vegan one was just ok. There is no side dish of bread, which was disappointing and I hope they add it in the future. Some hot garlic buttered crusty slices or rolls would’ve hit the spot perfectly. The Tiramisu dessert was very good and melted in my mouth. We had a good time and will return again in the future.

We parked on the street about a half block away. It was a short walk past little shops and restaurants and beautiful trees.

We finally tried this place after months of wanting to, and we went with my family. It definitely lived up to the expectations.

The lasagna was excellent. We tried both the vegetarian and the traditional versions, and both had the perfect texture, not too dry and not too saucy, just very well balanced and flavorful. You can really tell it’s a classic, well-made lasagna.

We also tried the tiramisu, which was very good and a great way to end the meal. The service was really, really good as well, attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better.

This is definitely a place worth visiting more than once if you’re craving a good, traditional lasagna.

Such an interesting spot! The only decision you need to make is whether to get the bolognese or the vegetarian lasagna — they only serve one main dish, and they do it extremely well. The lasagna is authentic, Italian-style, and absolutely delicious. The tiramisu is just as good: smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced.

The service is great and definitely worth the wait. We waited about 45 minutes for a table for two, but once seated, the service was fast.

Tip: Check the special posted outside while you’re in line and ask about it — it’s a great deal.

Highly recommended!

A unique dining experience. 2 options for food: meat lasagna and veggie lasagna. Simple and easy. We had the meat, and it was phenomenal. Good portions. Tiramisu was tasty. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.

Very reasonable prices for Miami which was such a pleasant surprise.

Finally tried Si Papi 3190 in Coconut Grove and it was amazing!
They only serve lasagna, and it tastes just like a home-cooked meal — rich, house-made sauce, gooey cheese, and perfectly baked pasta. The cozy space and great vibe make it feel like you’re dining in someone’s kitchen. Comfort food done right — we’re already planning our next visit!

Si Papa is a charming little gem tucked away in Coconut Grove, serving just two kinds of lasagna traditional and vegetarian along with one dessert, tiramisu. The simplicity of the menu is part of the appeal, and the execution is spot on. The traditional lasagna was absolutely delicious rich, flavorful, and comforting. The tiramisu was a standout: light, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. If you find yourself in the Grove, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Small place, big flavors you won’t be disappointed.

“Finally found a lasagna spot that delivers on both quality and quantity. The staff at Si Papa are incredibly welcoming, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Great value for the price—you can tell they use quality ingredients. It’s my new go-to for a stress-free dinner.” The tiramisu was mind blowing!

Delicious. Only two options: lasagna bolognese or vegetarian. Had bolognese and it was so good I went the next morning to have it again for lunch. The tiramisu was creamy and delicious. The service is kind and quick, place is a bit crowded so if you’re 3+ I’d recommend calling ahead. Only $15 and better than half the food in miami.

Si Papa is one of Coconut Grove’s best-kept secrets. With just 20 seats and 8 bar stools, this little spot is as cozy as it gets. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the whole experience feels more like being invited into someone’s home kitchen than dining at a restaurant.

The menu is as straightforward as they come: two lasagnas (traditional or vegetarian), one dessert (tiramisu), a handful of wines, and a single beer. That’s it—and honestly, that’s all they need. The lasagnas are prepared next door in their sister restaurant and finished off here for the last 15 minutes. The tiramisu is scooped right out of the Pyrex dish it’s made in—light, creamy, and the perfect finish.

There are no takeout orders, no substitutions, and no endless menu—just a small number of lasagnas each night. When they’re gone, they’re gone. That’s part of the magic. Simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious, Si Papa is proof that sometimes less really is more.
