First time dining at this restaurant, I used to live in Somerville NJ many many years and haven’t live in the area for over 5 years, I never heard or see about Peru Chikann. This place must have opened not long ago.
Me and my husband was excited to try this place out.
Place looks pretty decor and comfy inside. Our waitress at the time was Shendy, she’s pretty with easy smile young lady. For dine in we had papa La huancaina, lomo saltado, arroz chaufa with chicken and small chicken soup. All was delicious.
Everybody was happy with their meal.
Peru Chikann is BYOB by the way.
For to go I ordered causa de camarones, whole chicken ala brasa (it’s a must) and large chicken soup since I had small one at the restaurant and got another large one to go.
The chicken ala brasa was really good taste and moist, the green sauce was also good I just wish they were a bit spicy and the causa probably I can eat that everyday, I really enjoyed it.
Overall would love to come back if we’re in the area again for more chicken and the causa and hoping they will add to their menu “tallarín saltado” I don’t see that on the menu otherwise I will order that too!! Best luck for the business and keep up the great food and service

Good food, attentive service, busy kitchen, and very nice mix of music (not as loud as in other peruvian restaurants, although it could still be a tiny bit softer). Loved the ambiance, the white table clothes and fabric napkins; the music variety, the attentiveness, and the food, which was very authentic.

It was our waitress” first day, and she did a fantastic job!

A big surprise was to find aguadito soup on the meni, which was delicious, as well as picarones, a classic dessert from Lima, neither one of which is easily found, except for, on weekends, in some restaurants. They were both fresh and perfectly executed.

Please keep up the good work!

I came for lunch and what a place… truly hidden gem.. Wow… very nice service and everyone is so friendly… the food was delicious and fresh. I tried the rotesary chicken with fries, salad and the Verde sauce on the side. Don’t forget to try their peruvian juice, Chicha Murada. You won’t be disappointed.

So I found this place on accident on New Years Eve. Everywhere else was closed and was looking for some takeout and SO glad I did! I must say, as a Peruvian, this place truly touched my heart. The pollo a la brasa was everything it should be—juicy, flavorful, and deeply authentic, just like home. You can taste the pride in their food The owner is so warm and welcoming, you immediately feel like family. It means so much to have a real Peruvian spot nearby that honors our food and culture. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend supporting this restaurant.

If you’re considering going here, DO IT! The food is fantastic. The cooks and servers are so nice. The lighting is perfect, it’s dim but bright enough to see all the glistening meats. I love this place and you will too.

The food here was average overall. The chaufa, in particular, was lacking flavor and could use some improvement. Service was surprisingly slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. On the positive side, the presentation was decent, the space is roomy, and they allow BYOB, which is a nice perk. With some adjustments to flavor and service speed, this place has potential.

This restaurant is very welcoming and clean. I went to wash my hands, and the restroom was spotless — which always says a lot about a place.

I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with yellow rice, beans, and a salad. It was simple, but absolutely delicious. The chicken was incredibly soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The yellow rice was perfectly cooked and tasted great together with the beans — everything complemented each other perfectly.

The owner, Freddy, was very welcoming and made a point to talk to all the guests, which created a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I also took the same meal home for my kids, and they agreed with me — very tasty!

I will definitely be coming back, and next time I’ll dine in again.

Oh! And the passionfruit smoothie, so delicious. I’ll be back soon.

Just like some of the other reviews, we were shocked that this restaurant was empty when we walked in. The food tasted amazing and the service was excellent. For entrees, we ordered the fried rice with chicken and the bistec a lo pobre. The portion sizes were generous for the price – two entrees could have served at least three people. Would go back to try more menu items!

I’ve been coming here since they opened, and it never disappoints. The entraña is hands down the best steak in Hillsborough, and the chicken is easily the best I’ve had nearby. If this isn’t already one of your go-to spots, it absolutely should be. Highly recommend giving it a try!
