Foyer greeted us with an elevator.
Upon doors opening, stellar views of the airfield greeted us. I was so giddy with delight. Driving by for decades, and now get to see all this!
Susy the waitress was amazing. We had the dining area to ourselves. Friendly group at the bar chatting away .
The menu offers unit items and kids menu too .
Wednesday is $5 cheese burger, pulled pork, or sloppy joe. Fries or tots a couple dollars and change more .
Hubby opted for Italian Meatloaf on angel pasta and I had the sloppy Joe and fries.
Hubby found his dish big and yummy. The sloppy Joe was a fork and knife, for the bun was so soft, it melted on my mouth. The fries hot and perfectly salted.
The chicken dumpling soup was great and chili hit the spot.
I had a mixed drink… Not fancy . It was an excellent size and great price, compared to other places .
The decor is aviation, with a sprinkling of pigs!
There is a slot machine area on the other side of the bar.
Signs list live music and bingo events
We were allowed to stay as long as we liked. It was a delightful find.
Will be back to try the pot roast.
Good weather days, the best days to see the planes .
Highly recommend you try this literal hidden gem out!
like we may get food poisoning from how it tasted. My father’s corn soufflé tasted very expired. We were also told to get our own refills literally from the tap from the bar…..?? We politely informed the waitress that the two meals and side tasted very off. We received annoyed looks and attitude. They then tried to deceive us by “taking off $15 from the total bill” but somehow we were charged for TEN iced teas. We had a total of 4 drinks, one of which was a refill we had to almost beg for. When we addressed this after being given the bill, we received more attitude. Eat here at your own risk!!
I would like to believe we caught the service staff on a bad day but… this was a whole new level.
I will only hit the highlights.. again, we were the first customers of the day and we are not able to order simple beverages because the boxes needed to be changed.
We asked our server what kind of cheese was available and she didn’t know.
When our meals came out two of the three were incorrect. One of them was not even what was ordered. It was pointed out to her and she said “oh sorry, do you need anything else?”. I asked for napkins and a side plate. Halfway through the meal I took our empty glasses up to the bar to get refills and ask if I could have some napkins. The response I received was “oh I’ll get them for you I was just doing something”.
The incorrect meals were never fixed.
I also had to go to the bar to ask for our bill since the server was in the bathroom on the phone arguing with someone.
I have never experienced “service” at this level and can confidently say we will not be visiting again.
