Stopped by the Devils Backbone Taproom at Dulles. The beer was great — definitely the highlight — but overall the experience felt a bit too expensive for what you get (airport pricing, I guess). The food was okay, but a bit too salty for my taste. Not a bad stop if you want a solid beer before a flight, but the food and value could be better.

It’s airport food, the expectation is never high. We sat at the bar around 6:30am and ordered breakfast before our flight. The food came out really fast. The bartender was a very nice man. I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich w/ fruit. It was good, they used “real” eggs. My boyfriend had the chicken sausage, egg and potato meal. He said it was good. Of course for two waters and two breakfast meals, the total was $42 before 18% gratuity.

I had a few hours to burn in between flights. Stopped here for breakfast, had the french toast but the best part of my visit was my interaction with the manager Gigi. First they modified my order to accommodate my vegetarian diet, very nice to do. Second they allowed me to bring and drink a coffee from another establishment, super nice. Third, my wonderful conversation with a gregarious and personable manager (Gigi) made my visit memorable and delightful. Rarely are customers treated with such care, I bow to the kindness exhibited.

Food was delicious and actually pretty quick. Service? What service? They dropped my food off, didn’t ask me if I needed anything, didn’t check on me and I had to ask for a beverage refill after she looked right at my empty glass. This place just wants to herd you in and herd you out.

Fine if you want to spend 12 on a beer.
But the food was awful. Really bad and horribly overpriced. Salad was a total joke. Nachos too. McDonald’s is better. Save your cash. As my son said, “the airplane food was better.”

Just Don’t! this ranks up there with gas station sushi and hotel free breakfast. No water unless you want bottled water, no Ketchup. the bacon was terrible and the eggs were scrambled ( I hate scrambled eggs) I knew it was going to be bad when they didn’t even ask “ How do you like your Eggs? Toast ? “ then to boot sorry sir I can’t check you out for another 5 minutes. Anything would be better than this place. No Tip

12 USD for a beer, really? Now I know why the menu doesn’t show any prices for the beverages. If the burger wouldn’t have been so incredibly tasteless, I would have probably accepted this beer rip off.
Too bad I didn’t check their reviews before stumbling into this place, desperate for some warm food. Never again.
P.S. I was so puzzled about all this that I forgot to NOT give any tip. That made it even worse and regrettable.

Horrible experience. I had a long layover, so I stopped and grabbed a drink while getting some work done. When I came, I was one of the only people there and the lady was very nice. As time went by, the place got busier. The manager came and tried to take my drink away before it was done. I let him know I was not finished. Shortly after, the lady comes by and tries to take the water away. I let her know I was not done with my water yet. She signaled that now my drink was done and it’s rush hour. I let her know that I paid 15.00 for a drink which I think is enough for me to not be pushed out like this. Have never been treated so rudely at the airport establishment.

Ate here during a layover and had the best service. We didn’t like the nachos, but everything else was great.

Pulled pork sandwich was heavy on the pork and very light on coleslaw and pickles. It was tasty but fell apart in my hands. Had a good drink selection too. Service was basically non existent. One person working.
