Literally the cutest shop with the nicest people working there. Possibly the best coffee I’ve ever had, if not top 5! The gentleman had great customer service, striking up a lovely conversation. This will definitely become a regular spot for me as well as my friends once I tell them about it. Definitely recommend! I got a hot half sweet marshmallow latte and it was delicious! Prices are really good for a small business as well (it’s TOUGH out there so small business prices have been going up).

This is my first time trying a coffee from here. Personally I liked it better than Starbucks. I thought the restaurant was done really tastefully and it was really cute. The man working behind the counter was really welcoming too.

Stopped here while visiting Ridgefield for a quick caffeine fix and saw a sign for this place. The employee was very sweet and fast! The coffee was not a roast that we liked, and they didn’t have white coffee. To be fair a lot of places don’t and everyone has different tastes in coffee. The inside felt almost like an industrial storage unit was the theme. It was cold, and had tons of chairs stacked all around and the seating was uncomfortable.

This coffee shop has a very welcoming, warm, and friendly feel to it. The owner was so lovely. The coffee is delicious! Way better than most and always better to support local!

Super Best Ever Local Coffee Shop! Phuong has won the best barrista in the nation award for a reason–she makes really great coffee.

She also hosts community events like Mahjong night (pictured). Great place, great people.

This is such a lovely place and the lady working there is super sweet. I always get the sugar free vanilla latte and I said half sweet and she made it just perfect!!

She also asked me if I ever get anything else sugar free as they want to have more sugar free options but want to know what people like to drink. I was no help as I only like the sugar free vanilla but she would gladly like to hear others preferences.

Looking for an independent coffee shop? Somewhere to study? A morning coffee date? This place is it!! The barista. Was so sweet amd personable! And she personalized my coffee asking if I like it more sweet or not! Blown away! It was creamy too! Perfect!

Locally owned and operated, Lava Java is the real deal. The owner is truly “dialed-in” to the PNW scene and always happy to nerd out on coffee. They consistently stock fresh Stumptown beans alongside a rotating selection of local favorites (I grabbed some Proud Mary today). It’s the best spot in Ridgefield to support local while getting high-quality whole beans from the top roasters in Portland and Vancouver.

I love this place! The people working here are very nice, the coffee is really good. Lots of space to sit and study or chat with a friend. My go to coffee shop in Ridgefield/woodland/la center area.

Terrible customer service and attitudes. Definitely wouldn’t recommend supporting their business.
I won a couple raffles at my local chiropractic office that included some cards for a free coffee from this place. The first time I used one here for a 16oz iced latte there was no issue. I went in a different day to use another one and I tried to order the same iced latte and they told me I could only use it for a hot drip coffee. I asked why there was a difference from last time? The lady said maybe the person who helped you didn’t know… I’m sorry what kind of response is that?
So I asked if I could pay the difference, and the guy there just had a really bad attitude and said no and repeated it’s only for a 12 ounce drip coffee.
The way they handled it was rude so I walked out and won’t ever go there again, and wouldn’t recommend it to others. Customer service is a big thing for me sometimes more important then how my coffee even tastes and they sucked.
