A friend chose this homey eatery for our brunch get-together, even though neither one of us is gluten-free.
The country kitchen style ambiance welcomed us in and we decided to give it a try.
Order at the counter from their menu and specials board. After paying, you choose a seat at the mismatched tables and they bring the food to you.
Our counter person answered our questions and we decided on a bagel breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage and the Cowboy Pancakes with real bacon pieces in the batter.
The pancakes were served with whipped butter and real maple syrup and were huge! They were served with a Sunnyside egg on top. I was starving and ate less than half. The batter was very tasty and neither one of us missed the gluten. As you know, this can go either way.
The bagels were made in house and the sandwich was substantial.
We both enjoyed our meals, the colorful country cafe setting, and the friendly service.
I’d definitely recommend this cafe that also has vegan options.

This place has delicious, hot New England clam chowder. I had it with a 1/2 chicken salad sandwich. My wife had the quiche; the crust was nice and buttery. I had the coffee and they provide complimentary water (with lemon slices). We took chocolate cheesecake to go (also good).

I loved this bakery! Everything is gluten- and dairy-free, but you’d never guess it. The “Dead by Chocolate” dessert was absolutely delicious. Cathy, the owner, is kind and welcoming, and you can tell she puts her heart into everything she does. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this place!

The woman at the counter was exceptionally friendly and helpful, taking the time to show me where the coffee was and ensuring I felt welcome.
The baked goods are well-organized with clear allergy labels, which is great for those with food allergies. I tried the chicken salad sandwich with fresh lettuce and what appeared to be a farm tomato, and it was delicious. The side of tater tots was equally satisfying, and the pickles were excellent. The sandwich was quite large, so I could only eat half, but I took the rest home, and it stayed fresh and not soggy the next day.
My father had the shrimp wrap and coleslaw, which he also found to be amazing. We both enjoyed the coffee, which was good even when served black. I also indulged in a giant sugar cookie, which was fantastic. Overall, Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen offers a great variety of baked goods and ample portions, making it well worth the price. The quick service and pleasant atmosphere added to the positive experience.

With less than 2 weeks notice, I called Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen to order a simple wedding cake.
I was so grateful they took the order, I told them when I needed to pick it up by and how many people, they took care of everything. I didn’t have to think about what size cake it would be. They knew what size the cake had to be for a 15 person wedding.
Our guests all gave such an amazing feedback on the cake. How could it be Gluten Free? And still taste so good?!
It was nice to hear such great feedback from our families. Thank you for making our wedding cake with short notice and allowing everyone to be able to eat the dessert! I know what it is like to be invited to events and not be able to eat almost anything on the menu. This way our wedding cake was very inclusive of everyone.
I enjoyed the simple no fuss aesthetic, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Feels like home, just sitting at home in a busy kitchen like my Grandmas. The hustle and bustle. The mismatched mugs, the random salt and pepper shakers it is the homey vibe you are looking for a home away from home.
I love the homey atmosphere.
I am gluten free (not celiac or allergy but intolerant).
I have tried all the food. It is all delicious. The breads, the cookies, the muffins, the sandwiches, the soups. I mean everything it is all delicious.
It is all so so good.
It is a great place for a brunch or lunch.
Very allergy friendly / allergy conscious.
I highly, highly recommend if you visit Western MA.

If you’re thinking of coming here for some food, just stop thinking about it and get over here! Their food is absolutely wonderful! This is easily the best chicken salad I’ve ever had in my life (and most of my life revolves around food lol) we also had some of their clam chowder and it’s definitely outstanding! We also tried the gluten free waffles and it’s just to die for. On top of that we chatted a bit with Auntie Cathie herself and she’s such a wonderful and sweet person, she even shared with me a couple of her secrets, still need to find out how she literally makes the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had in my life: get over here and enjoy her superior food ASAP!!!

I love the baked goods! We always stock up when we get there. I just wish they had better hours for those of us that work during the week. I rarely get to go as the hours are so limited.
