This is my favorite spot for authentic Chinese cuisine. I first discovered it while living in Long Island, and even after moving to Manhattan, I still come back for their food. The dishes are cleanly prepared, and the service is great. With reasonable prices, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for authentic Chinese food without breaking the bank.

While the decor is plain, food is quickly prepared, served piping hot and definitely not “run of the mill”. It’s the rare Sichuan style and delicious- even the white rice is exceptional! I recommend the Tofu Layer Dry Pot, Crispy Tofu in Garlic Sauce, the Shanghai Bok Choy and the Chinese Yam with Wood Ear Mushrooms and Snow Peas with a White Sauce

A favorite over many years, even through their change of ownership. If you like spicy a Szechuan cuisine, this is one of the best on the island. I crave for ox tendons in hot oil, shredded tofu with cilantro, spicy wonton, Dan Dan noodles, chicken dry pot, 3 peppers chicken, shredded pork with garlic sauce, lamb with cumin seeds, lamb with cilantro, double cooked sliced fish, and mapo tofu – to name a few! Never tried the Americanized dishes – like General Tsp’s and Kung Pao, I’m sure they are good as well.

*Edit* Just tried the lamb spare ribs – new favorite dish! Perfect blend of crispy, soft, flavorful, fat balance.

This review is for their take out only. Dine in may be a different experience. They prepared the food very quickly and I didn’t have to wait at all. However, nothing else really stood out and their soggy house special fried rice was particularly underwhelming.

They served the food very quickly (within 5 minutes after we ordered), which makes me suspect it’s all prepackaged meals. We also asked for three cup chicken and were told that they didn’t have it that day, but they did have other chicken dishes (why???). That being said, their service was great.

One of the best Shrimp Mei Fun, no vegetables with scrambled eggs that took me by surprised despite numerous highly zagat rated Chinese restaurants in Suffolk and Nassau that I have been to. Always good to see other asians eating here as a sign of authenticity and some cooking done right by the chef. Diamond in the rough. Come and try this establishment and enjoy some great dishes.

I’ve only had take-out from Beijing House so I can’t comment on the dine-in experience. We tried the lunch special, which is $9 for a main dish plus a soup. I got the egg + tomato with rice and egg drop soup. The portion size of the egg and tomato was big, with a hefty serving of rice to go with it. The egg drop soup was ok, I think I’ve had better elsewhere. I look forward to my next experience with Beijing House~

Ok, this place is not your prototypical American / Chinese restaurant. More on the authentic Sichuan / Chengdu style cuisine. Hot Pot, Mapo Tofu, and Red Chilli style food. Also, the are many Asian Patrons inside and that’s always a good sign. If you’re going to compare this place to Flushing or NYC Chinatown, then don’t go here. But for Nassau County, especially on Jericho Turnpike in the heart of Syosset, this place is pretty good. Nice staff, but they could be a little more on top of things. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will definitely be going back.

We are regular customer at Beijing House for lunch and like the authenticity of this place. The restaurant was actually very good when it first started. Since beginning of 2017, we have seen the standard dropping and price going up. Today we even have uncooked dumplings with absolutely no apologies from the restaurant. Seem like business as usual after we showed them the raw dumpling. When we asked for the check, the waiter even added the dumpling into the bill like nothing had happened. We finally contested and the waiter took it out from our bill. This is by far unexpected and unacceptable for a restaurant rated well by many including the culinary critics on Long Island.

Beware when you order the dumpling or anything wrapped from Beijing House, you may be eating something that is raw and get sick without knowing it!!

As authentic for Long Island without trecking into Queens or the city. Menus were easy to read with lots of pictures to help guide you. It’s just a little on the pricier side, but that’s comparing to Flushing and Chinatown, plus you’ll save that difference on gas!
