Our first time in over 2yrs. They’ve recently reopened. This is now ala carte menu and no longer a buffet. The atmosphere was good and the remodel was clean and very nice! The menu offers Vietnamese and Chinese food but the Vietnamese items weren’t available because they had no chef!?? So, it was chinese only….well, we were still pleased with our purchase. Very hefty portions and seeing other patrons plates, the same. Everything was delish. The egg drop soup and wonton strips were very good and fresh. Not too salty. I’d go back.

Menu has changed some. I had Hot & Sour soup, egg roll & pepper steak. All excellent! Almond chicken is other dish in pictures. Really good too

We were so excited to hear that China Luck reopened after years of being closed. Sadly, the two main items that we were looking forward to are no longer on the menu. The old homemade egg rolls and chicken corn soup were our favorite signature items. Now the menu is pretty much just standard and not very special. We used to drive from Pell City to eat here just for those two items and now we don’t really have a reason to drive to eat here anymore. Still good food, just not as big of a draw.

China Luck is a business with a LONG history in this area. The owners are also responsible for the nearby Yume Japanese restaurant (although they have since sold it to refocus on China Luck).
The business has recently reopened and even after so many years still offers the same high quality and affordable food they’ve always been known for.
Their service is also outstanding: seeing our group was celebrating a birthday, the owner was kind enough to just start being our appetizers and covered our table in food…at no charge!
This is a business that will appreciate you being there and they deserve your attention.

China Luck! Oh how I have missed you! I waited for a while after you reopened to visit. Just so all the kinks could be worked out and such. When I walked in, I was immediately seated. Some of the old decor was there, but I can easily adjust to the changes there. My server was very sweet and attentive. The Mandarin combination was as wonderful as I remembered. My food was cooked to perfection. But the egg roll… Is there a difference between lunch and dinner egg rolls? This was the one item I missed most. Well, you’ve reopened & I can forgive you about the egg roll. But if there is any room for improvement, please bring back the giant handmade egg rolls. Other than that, I will see you again very soon. Thank You for coming back!

The food was pretty good though personally I thought it could have used a bit more seasoning. A couple orders at our table were messed up but nothing worth complaining about. Overall it was a good experience at a new place (new to me and my daughter) with good prices.

We ate dinner here recently. We were seated quickly and the server was friendly. There were four people in our group. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We all took home leftovers. Mandarin Combination was just as good as ever. So was the egg drop soup. The menu is limited, but our server said that they would probably add more variety. We will definitely be back soon. So glad that China Luck is back, and that Ken is back, too. Cathy and Randy Little

Enjoyed Mongolian beef with egg drop soup. The Mongolian beef was so delicious. Not too crazy about the egg drop soup. Tried my lunch partners hot & sour soup, which was very good.

Drove 8 1/2 hours and decided to try China Luck upon my arrival to Oxford. I had heard it had reopened and couldn’t wait to try it again. Picked up take out and got a light meal of egg rolls and hot and sour soup. The soup was steamy hot and just as I had remembered it. The egg rolls were light, crispy, fresh and flavorful. Staff were courteous and I was super pleased with my choices. Will go again when I’m in town. Next time, I’ll bring a larger appetite.

China luck use to be the best. Now??? Order chicken fried rice and they gave us fried rice cooked and put some cut up chicken in it. Beef and broccoli had just enough for my 10 year old. They have went downhill. Won’t go back.
