We got our wedding cake and cupcakes from Hyvee Bakery and WOW! We worked with Samantha and she was so detailed and easy to work with! We went with a two tier cake, yellow cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting) and 50 cup (red velvet, vanilla and chocolate with buttercream frosting) cakes. Safe to say, we had no leftovers! Everything was delicious!
We did have to change the number of cup cakes due to downsizing our wedding, because of Covid, but it wasn’t a problem at all!
They delivered the all desserts to our location on time and set everything up perfectly.
Could be happier with how our desserts turned out – would go with them again and highly recommend!

I specifically went through HyVee for my little one’s first birthday cake because of the free smash cake you get with it. They did not give me a free smash cake, did not compensate anything or try to fix their problem. I had to go to Cub to buy one for my little one’s birthday.

Bought a $300+ Birthday cake that did not turn out how they displayed it in their cake showcase. I had asked specifically for the exact same design and it did not come out at all what it looked like. I expressed dissatisfaction and was met with snide remarks and was promised a partial refund that I never got.
If you request a cake with detail, make sure you know whose the designer to do it. Or just opt for a very basic design or risk the chance of them taking on a design they have no idea how to execute. If you want some complex looking, You’re better off at Whole Foods or something.

Visited the New Hope store where I been going since Oct 2016. They have quite a selection of items to choose from. The Walnut Cranberry bread is the best, but come after 8am, so it can be sliced. The mini bread loafs are so good, get there early the most popular (Blueberry andLemon-poppy seed) are gone first! Dont forget about grabbing a Starbuck treat while your in the store!

The prices for donuts are getting stupid. $2 for a regular glazed donut. Ridiculous. They’re also always out of the sugar donuts which are the only reason I try to get donuts at Hy-Vee. Overall, the donuts are mid and the prices are too much for what they offer.

They’ve got a huge selection of donuts to cakes, and a wonderful selection of bread. I love that you can specify slice size to really make sure you get what you’re looking for in your loaf.

The bakery here is great, but I didn’t shop that area today. I went to the hot meal counter, and took home chicken, mashed pitatoes with gravy, green beans, and a baking powder biscuit. Great food!
