The Lanikai sushi handroll project combines sushi hand rolls topped with authentic poke offerings straight from the islands. From the imported Aloha brand shoyu to inamona (kakui nut) and ogo (seaweed) for our limu poke, we are going the extra mile to give you a bite of paradise right here in the Boston area.

If you want sushi that actually tastes fresh, go here. I really loved the salmon especially, the rice was made perfectly also and it’s super filling, i was stuffed by handroll #5-6. Reminds me of the poke shops and sushi spots in Hawaii. Everything we ordered was delishhhhh. Service was great, atmosphere casual and clean ~~ will definitely be back

DELICIOUS and pretty presentation. I noticed that the salmon was layered with a really tasty yet subtle sauce. And the octopus wasn’t too chewy had the perfect amount of saltiness. The scallops were also a hit. Honestly, it’s good quality sushi.

All the food here was high quality and the fish tasted super fresh! We had a wonderful time at Lanikai, which had a great atmosphere and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. My favorite hand roll was the shoyu tuna, and favorite small bites were the Hawaiian Mac and cucumber salad. Will be back 🙂

Sushi was insanely fresh. Boston needed this spot! I love Hawaiian poke and all the fish here were high-quality and buttery. We tried a mix of handrolls with different tunas, salmon, oyster, and octopus. We also started with the furikake cucumber and Hawaiian mac salad. I’ll absolutely be back for that mac salad. The handrolls are fairly priced for the quality!

I tried the tuna, salmon, octopus, and scallop hand rolls and they were all very delicious. I’m usually an octopus all day kind of girl but this time the scallops stole the show. They were my favorite! The flavor of the yuzu and the texture and sweetness of the scallops melded really well together. All of the hand rolls had substantive amounts of protein too so that’s always a plus. I also had the cucumber salad and really enjoyed the sauce it was mixed in. I personally would marinate it a bit more so the flavor soaks more into the cucumber, but it’s delicious nonetheless.

Lanikai was my first taste of Hawaiian Poke and it did not disappoint. Each roll had its own unique flavor and complimented the high quality fish.
Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to try authentic Hawaiian flavor. Can’t beat the price and you won’t find this quality and flavor anywhere else in Boston.
Can’t wait to go back the spicy salmon and salmon shoyu 10/10

Having been to Hawaii many times, I would say Lanikai definitely brings me back to the islands. Each roll had a good fish to rice ratio. I love that the sushi rice is nicely seasoned as well. The fish are fat chunks. Each roll can be consumed in 3 regular bites or 2 giant bites. My favorites are the Aloha Shoyu Ahi, Oyster Ahi, Spicy Salmon, and Sesame Scallops.

Lanikai’s rolls were tasty and fresh, especially the salmon and tuna rolls! My husbands favorite was the wasabi ahi. Their miso cocktail was unique, spirit-forward, and refreshing. Would come back for sure!
