Staff were super friendly, explained their, as well as customer favorites on the menu. Service took maybe 8 minutes from ordering to getting it. Food itself was perfect, maybe a little heavy on cilantro, but I should have asked to delete that.
Worth the drive. Worth the hype. Worth every single bite.
I had the three birria tacos, and they were flat-out amazing — rich, tender, perfectly seasoned meat, crispy edges, and that consommé took everything to another level. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do because every bite hits exactly how birria should hit.
I also have to give a huge shout-out to Brennen Taylor and his YouTube channel — I never would have known about this spot if it wasn’t for his review. I was on a road trip and literally planned my route so I could stop here and eat, and I’m so glad I did. Zero regrets.
This is one of those places you seek out on purpose, not something you just stumble into. If you’re even remotely close — or planning a drive — make it happen. These tacos are the real deal.
The food? Offensively good. Like, “why would you do this to me knowing I have to eat other food for the rest of my life” good. Every bite felt illegal, as if the chef was operating with forbidden knowledge passed down through generations of flavor monks. I’m convinced the birria here isn’t cooked it’s summoned.
The tacos didn’t just melt in my mouth. They collapsed my sense of reality. The consommé? I would drink it out of a mug on a cold night, call it soup, and cry about my life choices. I briefly considered asking if they sell it by the gallon or if adoption was an option.
The vibes inside? Immaculate. The kind of place where you take one bite and immediately start nodding like, “yeah… yeah… this makes sense.” The staff was so nice I almost apologized for not tipping them my car.
I’ve eaten food before. I thought I knew what “good” was. I did not. Birra Spot has ruined me. Other restaurants should be nervous. My standards are now unrealistic, my heart is full, and my soul smells faintly of birria.
If you’re hungry, go here.
If you’re not hungry, go here anyway.
If you value your emotional stability… also go here, but be warned.
10/10. Five stars. Would dramatically change my life again.
While exploring the historic downtown, this newer building and its “Mexican-Asian Fusion” had us atop and go “Maybe…” the reviews and snapshots sold us, we just had to go in…and it did not let us down!
We were greeted by ultra friendly staff who took the time to welcome us and provide suggestions, conversation, explanation (what birria is, how they work, what the food is like etc.), and the patience of us taking in that five star menu they’ve got!
My husband got the ramen (comes with a taco on the side, my husband got two) and I got a single birria taco.
We got our food fast, and the portions were outrageous— outrageously good! So if your next question is, does the cost reflect the quality and quantity the answer is a resounding yes. The food is gold btw! Flavorful and hearty, it left us beyond satisfied.
Not only did we walk away content, but with a plentiful amount of leftovers.
I know this, next time we’re here, you know where we will be!
The guy at the register was very informative about everything on the menu, he’s a big Torta guy haha
The food was plenty, service was great, and atmosphere was awesome. Very clean and music was great.
Now on to the food.
I got the Birria Ramn, Birria Bao Buns and a Birria Bowl as well as the Birria Tacos. Everything was AMAZING.
Th Birria Ramen was huge, and comes with a taco already. So much consume and Birria.
Bao Buns were sweet and the Birria being salty was a great mixture.
The tacos were so good and crunchy and cheesy. The way they should be.
The Birria bow was also great- doesn’t come with consume in it but since it came with everything else I added it to the bowl and and it made it even better!
I had to package some food to go and one of the employees offered to package it up for me. She was so helpful. I could tell that everyone loved working there. I can’t wait to go back and try the sandwich and the egg rolls!
